Requiem for Redemption

Chapter Two

My Snow Covered Home

Let’s fall in love again, with music in the air

We’ll end up in each other’s arms

I’m a stranger in the dark

Pressing kisses to your face

And though you’ll never know me

You’re all that’s ever mattered

Sweet Reunion

Dear Imouto

Hello little sister. It’s me, Magao. How have you been? Is Gina treating you well? I can feel that Alice and Emily are with you now. Are they doing well? I haven’t seen your twin in so long… I miss her. Give her a hug for me.

Anyways, I’m going to get straight down to business. I’m heading south from you, Dearest. I’ve sensed that Gina’s Lover is headed that way. His brother is alive again. He had originally killed him, but now he’s apparently back from the dead or something, so stupid little moron is heading out to go and kill him… again. I AM FURIOUS WITH THIS FOOLISH BOY. Can’t he get a life!? Why in two hell’s does he absolutely HAVE to kill him anyway!? If Sasuke goes after Itachi again, there’s a large chance he’ll be killed, and boom, there goes the whole damn world. I will NOT HAVE THIS. I WILL BEAT THAT CHILD TO A PULP before he can even REACH his stupid brother. I hate him. I absolutely hate him. But I can’t kill him. That is frustrating.

Assure Gina that I will not kill the boy, simply beat him and drag him away from his goal. I’m going to bring him to you. And if he gets away, I will catch him again. If it comes down to it, I will kill Itachi myself. Something must be done about this kid, seriously. He needs some intensive therapy, which I’m Positive Gina will be able to provide him. If not, I think I WILL. I have MUCH better things to do than chase a stupid, idiotic renegade Uchiha brat! Like chase you, for example.

I’m back at home, right now. Or, what’s left of it, anyway. I did a good job, did I not? I’m heading towards Sunagakure, and I should catch up with the Uchiha boy by the time I reach Konohagakure. That is where I hear Itachi is. Yes, he is there, I can sense him quite well.

So, in at least a month, I should be back in Dublith. I hope your still there when I find that dumb brat.

Love,

Magao

Magao stood up and stretched. This was going to be a long month. He shut his eyes and concentrated hard. There! He could sense Sasuke clear as day. Magao had always been able to track things from hundreds of miles away. There was going to be no problem finding Sasuke at all. The boy was alone. Magao also noticed that he wasn’t the only one tracing him. There was someone else. It was Nyx, the Fallen Angel of the Void. She appeared to have to same idea he did. She was going to hunt down Sasuke, and bring him back to the Angel who was waiting for him, lonely and depressed. He sighed, this would be annoying. Magao concentrated his Disgaea and used it to force a pair of deep red wings out of his back. They were long, and emitted a strange sort of evil, dark aura around them. He grinned, and took flight, the wind rushing in his hair. Maybe this wouldn’t take too long…Wait. Magao’s eyes widened, and his expression suddenly turned to that of his sister’s soul’s Grandfather. He bit his lip. He was wrong; Nyx wasn’t hunting Sasuke, she was taking him to Itachi. His temper couldn’t have gotten any worse. It seemed like he was going to take a month or so after all. Magao’s eyes glowed with the same anger that Kimmie’s did. If looks could kill, the world would’ve exploded. He picked up his pace, and Nyx did too.

SHE’S FASTER THAN ME! THAT LITTLE WHORE! I will KILL HER!! Magao bit his lip so hard it started to bleed. He powered up and flew as fast as he could, but somehow, when ever he picked up speed, Nyx did too. The amount of space between them was, in fact, getting larger. She was leading Sasuke straight to the trap that Deviji had set up. He had to hurry, or Sasuke would be killed, undoubtedly.

It only took him two days of following Nyx and Sasuke to reach Sunagakure. However, the moment he got there, he couldn’t sense Sasuke or Nyx moving anywhere. They seemed very nearby, but he searched the entire city, and country, he couldn’t pinpoint their location. He knew that they were in Sunagakure though. That much he was absolutely certain of. Magao stopped to fill his vortex of a stomach, knocked out the bartender, refused to pay, and then camped out on the Kazekage’s roof. That night he was, of course, caught by said Kazekage. Somehow, he was always in some form of trouble or another.

“What are you doing here?” Gaara said, walking over and looking extremely impatient.

Magao rolled his eyes, “What the hell does it look like, you fool? I’m camping out on your roof. Go away.” Magao turned away.

Gaara stared at him hard, “Aren’t you the one who’s been causing trouble in my village?”

“Yeah, what of it? I’m broke, and I’m only passing. I’ll be gone by tomorrow. You’re not supposed to care.”

Gaara walked over to him and stood behind him, “why are you passing through here in the first place.”

“Sasuke’s here. I can’t find him, but he’s here. And since this place can see everything that happens in this dumb village, I’ll be able to see him when he leaves.”

“Sasuke’s here?”

Magao turned around in disbelief, “You’re the goddamned KAZEKAGE! Don’t you know what goes on around here!?”

“He didn’t check in.”

Magao sighed, “That’s to be expected. Itachi’s alive again, and he’s looking for him. Meanwhile, I’m looking for Sasuke. There’s a circle, you see. I’m going to get Sasuke, whose needs to kill Itachi, who’s being used by Deviji, who is trying to kill Angel, or Gina, who is looking after my sister in Dublith, which is where I’m going to take Sasuke.” Magao growled lowly, “But Nyx is in the middle of this, and is helping Sasuke get there faster than I can go. So, I have to get to Itachi before Sasuke does, and be there to meet him.”

Gaara started, “Wait, you know where Gina is? Is she okay?”

“She’s totally, completely, and perfectly fine. The remains of my family are looking after her.”

“What happened to this family?”

“Oh, it was more than just my family. I wiped out the entirety of The Hidden Mist Village, silly Gaara.” Disturbing news, yes it indeed was.

“I’m going now, Gaara. I’ve rested myself, I ate, I punched somebody out, and I found where Sasuke’s basic location is. Mission accomplished. Now all I need to do is actually find that damn kid, and bring him back to Angel.”

“Angel?”

“Gina.”

“Oh.”

Magao spread his wings once again, and was gone faster than a speeding bullet. He would get to Itachi before Sasuke and Nyx did. He was not going to allow Sasuke to be killed by Deviji.

Dear Imouto-chan,

I’ve already passed through Sunagakure. Are you proud of me? I’ve reached the boundaries of Konohagakure, so I’ve started walking. It turned out that Sasuke was being aided by Nyx, of the Void. So, now I’m ahead of them. They’re still heading here from Sunagakure. In fact, they’ve only just left. So I’ve got nothing to worry about, right? I’m going to get to Itachi before they do, I promise. I will not allow this world to be destroyed. I will save it, even though I really don’t feel like it. I’d much rather be snuggling with you. I hate my life. I hate his life too. I really do wish Angel wasn’t in love with that Uchiha, because then I could kill him. Man… I miss you so much; I want to come back to Dublith.

But that doesn’t really matter all that much. My wishes have never been of much importance. I’ve got five more miles, and I’m at the other Uchiha. By the way, I don’t recall, but did I ever tell you that Itachi is being used by Deviji? Yes, she revived him and then immediately imprisoned him. Currently, he’s been chained up, in a cage actually, only to await his fate; to be killed… again. However, Deviji-shi’s plan is that when Sasuke goes and finds Itachi to kill, she is going to kill Sasuke instead, and Keep Itachi as a pet to be used as a doll in her schemes and plans. However, as far as Sasuke’s probably concerned, he deserves it anyway. So I have no right to actually care. You probably want me to save Itachi too right? Well, sorry, but I’m on only one mission, and that is to save Sasuke. Not his stupid brother. After all, that doofus started this whole thing in the first place. If he hadn’t killed off his stupid clan, I would be snuggled up with you. Forever…

Oh well, you can’t have everything in life, right? I’ll be back before you know it, little sister. I promise.

Magao encased the letter in Disgaea and sent it out to the sky, shaped as a bird; it flew away, heading straight for Kimmie’s lap. No matter where she was, it would land right in her lap. He started walking, staring up at the sky. Should he save Itachi while he’s at it? Magao shook his head. The more destruction in this mission, the better. He grinned to himself and picked up his pace.

Magao walked for three hours. Finally, he only had two more miles before he’d be right where Itachi was. He looked up and saw the unbelievable.

Nyx and Sasuke where flying right over him!

He was pissed. Magao ran and jumped up amazingly high, and managed to throw his fist directly into Nyx’s gut. His eyes shifted color. They turned ice blue, and his aura grew and darkened. Nyx stood up, her hood falling off, and her messy, long black hair falling over her shoulders. Her cold, empty white eyes stared directly at him.

The next thing Magao knew, he was right in her face. He didn’t know what happened, but he blacked out. And when he woke up, Sasuke was gone.

Magao swore violently and took off, not even giving Nyx a short glance. He had to get to Sasuke, but he was already so far away…no, in fact, Sasuke was already with his brother. He had to be there in less than five minutes… But it was so far!

Sasuke stared into the bars at the back of his brother. He could feel Itachi’s depression, how miserable he was at that time. It was coming off him in waves. The young Uchiha could not believe his eyes. This was not right. It wasn’t like his brother to be caught like this. There was a woman sitting on top of the cage Itachi sat in. She stared at him between her knees with a smile and playing with the end of his ponytail. Sasuke could see half of his brother’s face. His Sharingan wasn’t activated, and his face was pale and ghostly.

Itachi wasn’t wearing black. Nothing on him was black. No, everything Itachi was wearing was completely unlike his usual attire. He was wearing a pair of plain, dark blue denim jeans, and a white, long-sleeved T-shirt that was stained with blood. The same liquid was running down his chin out of his mouth as he stared blankly at the rubble of Konohagakure.

“Hello, Sasuke. Good to see you.” Deviji said, swinging her legs and banging the hard heels of her boots against the bars of Itachi’s cage. Sasuke’s eyes narrowed. What had she done to his brother? Why was he being so submissive? Why was he there? Why was he being held captive? Clearly this was a strong opponent. Sasuke was hesitant to stay. He couldn’t beat her. He already knew this. If she could put his brother in such a state, have him held in a cage, and be without a scratch, meanwhile, have him covered with wounds, there was no way in all hell Sasuke could defeat her.

And that aura! The amount of power and evil rolling off her was almost a stench. He shivered at how seemingly cold it was.

“Itachi, your foolish little brother is here. We’ve been waiting for him. Aren’t you going to greet him? Say a little hello, or good-bye, before I kill him?” Deviji asked, yanking Itachi’s hair. The renegade Uchiha didn’t respond for a moment, “Itachi?”

“Someone is headed our way. He’s stronger than you, Deviji.”

Deviji yanked Itachi’s hair harder, causing him to grimace and make a sound that sounded like a whimper. Sasuke turned around and saw an unfamiliar face.

Magao glared daggers at Sasuke. “Hello, Sasuke. I would beat you to death, but I’m not allowed.” He growled, “We’re going back to Angel. Now.”

Sasuke stared at him, “No. I’ll do whatever I want, thank you very much!”

Magao held himself from strangling to the boy. Deviji wasn’t going to wait. She pulled out a long, thin blade. It was Itachi’s. The same one he’d used to slaughter his clan. Sasuke turned on her, “What did you do to him!?” He looked stricken. Sasuke was not about to stand for his brother’s pride being shattered like that. It scared him. He didn’t want to ever have to see someone so stoic, and emotionless and unfeeling to be reduced to a slave, a pet…

A toy.

It made him think of what Envy had done to Gina.

“I walked all over his pride. What of it, Uchiha brat? He doesn’t mind. I’m gong to make good use of him.” Sasuke saw Itachi noticeably wince, and turn slightly.

Magao finally roared, “I didn’t come here for your fucking reunion you little bastard! We’re leaving now!” He grabbed Sasuke’s collar and whirled him around, “Your Angel is waiting for you seven days away! I don’t give a rat’s ass about your stupid older brother’s situation! You aren’t even supposed to care! He killed mom and dad, remember?!” Magao glared at him, “YOU AREN’T GONNA SLOW ME DOWN!”

“Hold it right there. Sasuke is mine for the taking, you.” It was Deviji. Magao’s eyes faded to a glowering red, “You can just go to hell, you stupid broad.” Deviji wore an expression to kill, and attacked when Magao turned his back.

There was a crash, and Kimmie’s older brother stood there, his arm outstretched, and Deviji’s blade against it, not cutting, but against it. It cracked, and shattered.

Her voice shook with anger, “Who the hell are you!?”

“I’m Magao.  I’m the Fallen Angel of Fire’s, and the Broken Fallen Angel’s older brother. I’m also the Fallen Angel of Ice’s cousin. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Deviji was furious, but didn’t attack. Magao grabbed Sasuke and hoisted him up over his shoulder. A moment later, they were in the air. Sasuke was looking back over his shoulder at Itachi, who was in the process of receiving a beating, because of their departure.

Dear Imouto-Chan

I have found Sasuke. In fact, I’m heading back right now. We only just stopped at Sunagakure.. He’s sleeping next to me. We did end up meeting up with his brother, and Sasuke was indeed introduced to Deviji. It doesn’t matter though. There something else I want to tell you about.

Itachi’s situation with Deviji is worse than I had pictured. His pride has been broken, and I’m bothered because there is a large possibility that Deviji is going to use him against us again. That isn’t going to be good. Also, Sasuke keeps trying to get away so he can go and kill Deviji. But recently I think I got it in his head that he can’t beat her. Anyways, I’ve got Sasuke with me, so he’s fine, but Itachi is just screwed, I can already see this. He’s at a point where he seems to be afraid to fight back or something. Not that I care, but its fun facts. I should be back within a couple days. I can’t wait to see you. I miss you so much…

Love,

Magao

Magao yawned at looked to the sky, and then at Sasuke. Quite a handsome boy, he was. Magao smiled. He couldn’t blame Gina for falling in love with him.

No, that he could blame on hormones.

Part Two

Sight

There was a knock at the door. Kimmie got up and walked over, sighing heavily. She pulled it open. The first thing she saw was Magao. She slammed the door, and took three to five steps away before a scream unlike any other issued from her mouth. Everyone came barreling down the stairs at once, but the time they got there, Kimmie was already being tightly, lovingly, and obsessively held by her older brother. She was pale, and trying to get away, while muttering strange nothings to herself. Magao held her tighter and nuzzled her neck.

“I missed you…”

“I can tell.” She responded warily. Sasuke walked in silently, looking highly depressed. He didn’t even look up at Gina. In a seconds notice, he turned to Magao.

“I KNOW you could’ve killed her, you jerk! Why didn’t you!? We totally could’ve-“

“I’m going to kill you IN A MOMENT YOU STUPID … Just… SHUT UP and go reunite with your Angel. Clearly, she’s depressed, she’s disappointed, and she’s probably thinking she’s delusional! GIVE YOUR GODFORSAKEN BROTHER A REST AND CARE ABOUT HER FOR ONCE IN YOUR PATHETIC LITTLE LIFE! Now go away and leave me alone so I can snuggle with my sister, and love her lots, you STUPID, IDIOTIC LITTLE KID!!!”

Magao dragged Kimmie over to the red leather couch and sat down with her on his lap. She whimpered and he held her tightly, “I love that noise you make. It’s adorable.” Kimmie’s lower lip trembled. Sasuke simply collapsed into a chair and put his face in his hands, whining quietly. Gina walked over and hugged him.

“What’s wrong…?”

Sasuke shivered, “Itachi… The condition he was in was unbelievable. I can’t sleep because that image of him keeps replaying in my head over and over…” Gina was clearly upset by this, “He looked like you when you got back from Central when you where twelve.” Gina’s heart stopped. It was that bad?!

“I’m sorry, Gina.” She looked down at him, “I should be thinking of you, not him. I’m horrible. I know.”

“Shh, shh…. No, its okay, Sasuke. The point is that you’re back now… So I know you’re safe.”

Deviji looked down at Itachi for the umpteenth time, eyeing the unpleasant head injury that was causing a stream of blood to run down his cheek. He had been laying there on her couch lifelessly for half an hour. She didn’t know what to do with him. How could you use someone who was always trying to kill themselves? Who was always smashing themselves against walls in desperation to just die?  It was starting to annoy her. If she left him unattended to, he tried to commit suicide, but she couldn’t drag him around everywhere. He wouldn’t eat, he wouldn’t drink, he wouldn’t even move unless he alone. And then he was smashing against things.

He needs a reason to be alive… he needs to want to be alive… But, in order for me to make him want to live, I have to give him a desire, or a need… She looked towards the large purple glass sphere in her room. I have to give him someone to fall in love with… Someone he can relate with, and who can care about him in return… hmm… The sphere flipped though images of different girls and women whom she could arrange a meeting for her little doll.

She growled lowly and muttered, “And she cannot be from Angel’s group. I will not give him back to her, because then he really won’t come back.” Deviji stopped the crystal from rotating the images, staring at a certain, particular person. “Perfect.” She said aloud to no one in particular, staring at the soft, black and white image of the Spirit of Darkness, Eumelia.

Deviji smirked and threw a glance at Itachi, “Itachi, I’ve found your perfect soul mate. I hope you’ll like her.” The Daemon stared at the girl wholeheartedly. She was filled to the brim with content. She couldn’t wait to introduce Itachi.

“For the night…” Deviji said, grabbing and yanking Itachi’s arm so he would stand, “You stay in your room, and don’t cause a ruckus.”

After she’d gotten him to bed, she went back to her sphere, and began tracking Eumelia. She was in Mizukuni, in a perpetually snowy village, and she was living in one of the few houses that were still there. What a lucky find. She grinned wider, Deviji was glad she had decided to flip through the Spirit’s profiles as well.

Emily pushed open the door. “We’re gonna stay here for a while, okay? Is everyone tolerable with this plan? We can return to the Devil’s Nest once we’re sure we aren’t safe here anymore.” Kimmie nodded slowly, looking around the old house.

“You really haven’t been here in five years, have you?”

Emily smiled softly and nodded, “you bet.”

They had left the Devil’s Nest due to the fact that Alice had warned them that if they stayed, Greed and Kimbly could or would be killed. Now they were in Country of Mizuki, in a small house just barely on the border of Yukikuni and the Mizukuni, where Emily had grown up with Haku.

“No one lives around here anymore. Not after what Magao did…” Kimmie said softly. Alice nodded in agreement. They walked inside the old home, scaring away some spiders. Emily located the light and flicked it upwards, thus lighting the entire house. She smiled. “With a little dusting, I could make this place good as new!” She smiled brightly.

A voice rang out in Emily’s head, GET DOWN!

“Everyone, on the ground. Now.” She said seriously, dropping to her knees and looking out the window.

Alice looked up and her eyes narrowed, “That’s Deviji. She’s got Itachi with her, but where are they going?” She murmured. Sasuke went to get up; But Kimmie grabbed and yanked him back to the ground.

They watched Deviji fly over head, and seemingly land behind a forest of trees. Emily swallowed; she knew bad news when she saw it. And Deviji landing that close by was not exactly on her list of ‘good things to happen’.

“We’ll stay low and quiet until I’m positive she’s gone, okay? If anyone leaves this house, I’m not going to save them when they’re being ripped limb from limb, and fed to monstrous demons. Just don’t say I didn’t tell you so.” Emily said calmly.

They only had to wait a few minutes before Alice caught sight of Deviji soaring overhead again, in the opposite direction, without Itachi. Sasuke’s nerves were jolted, “What’d she do with him..?”

Kimmie shrugged, “Be quiet Sasuke, I can smell his blood. He’s still alive, and someone else is taking care of him. He’s fine.”

Gina smiled, “It’ll be okay, Sasuke. Relax.”

Sasuke nodded, but he knew there was no way he could calm down, knowing Deviji had done something with his brother.

Eumelia exited her small, broken-down house. She sniffed the air expectantly. She had heard some noise not too far away. She turned her head slowly, listening for a sound. About twelve feet away from her was a person. Slowly, she made her way forward, counting each of her steps, and mentally measuring

The person was only about four inches away now. She fell to her knees, groping the snow slowly, before coming across someone cold. Judging by their scent, it was a boy. She found his face and touched his cheek. He was indeed breathing, but shallowly. She managed to pick him up with her weak arms and carried him back to her home, where she put him on the couch. Eumelia managed to locate her first aid kit, which was actually rather large, and brought it back over to the boy. She felt his face gently, a found a wound. It was rather nasty, and needed to be treated badly. She cleaned it up with hydrogen peroxide, and wrapped his head.  She found several other injuries, and treated them just the same. It only took a few minutes, and when she was done; she put her hand on his cheek, softly, yet firmly.

“Are you awake?” She felt his head slowly move up and down. She smiled, “What is your name?” she asked. She heard a soft whisper.

“Itachi,” The boy whispered hoarsely. She nodded. “Are you thirsty?” The boy nodded again against her hand. Eumelia stood up slowly and made her way across to where she had memorized the sink to be. She pulled out a glass, after carefully feeling several dishes to make sure as to what they were, and filled the glass with cool water. She walked back over to Itachi, and held up the glass.

Itachi knew for a fact that she was blind, and didn’t want to upset her, so he took the glass and took a sip. A moment later, he found himself downing the entire thing. He hadn’t realized he’d been so thirsty! Itachi felt almost ravenous for more water, but didn’t say anything. The girl touched his cheek again.

“Are you hungry?” Itachi forgot himself and nodded again. She was blind! He told himself, she couldn’t possibly cook, right?

How wrong he was. The girl walked right over to the stove and picked out all the correct ingredients, and cooked them just right. Someone had previously taught her to cook through timing, volume, and everything she needed to know that she could do without actually seeing anything. He was amazed at her abilities, seeing she was blind. And her blindness was something he had never even heard of. It seemed that one of her eyes took in too much light, and the other took in too little.

And yet, even though her eyes looked so strange, they were beautiful. They were the purest, honey sky blue eyes he had ever seen. And in a strange way, they reminded him of both Gina and Deidara.  She was gorgeous, but weak. He could tell that by looking at her. Her frail frame, and pale skin. She looked sick.

“My name is Eumelia, by the way.” She said softly to him, when she brought over the dish of chicken noodle soup, and handed it to him slowly, so as to not spill any. Itachi took it gratefully, and seemingly ate it all in one large gulp.

When he handed it back to Eumelia in a record amount of time, she giggled, “I guess you were hungry, huh?” Itachi smiled gently. He liked her. She was sweet, and had an air of innocence around. Exactly like Gina’s. A pure heart, with just a small bit of blackness dotting it. Itachi would never have admitted it to Gina, but he really did enjoy the feel of her aura. At times, after Kisame had been killed, he had started just following her, just to watch her struggle, to see how she got through her tough situations. He loved her determination, her kindness, and her unselfishness. He wished Sasuke was the same way. Itachi watched Eumelia walk back across the room, one hand about half a foot in front of her, as she went over to the sink, and washed the bowl Itachi had eaten out of. She then turned around, drying her hands, and walked back over to Itachi. She sat down in a soft chair next to him.

“So, what are you doing out here in the middle of this poor, empty village?” Itachi sighed slightly, and she seemed to cringe. He gently told her about Deviji, his brother, and what she wanted from him, and about his repeated suicide attempts. He watched how she would make the most surprised and worried expressions, and even some very curious and intrigued ones. She was really interested! Itachi smirked. She was a strange girl.

“Now, let me ask you,” Itachi said, “What are you doing out here, in the middle of this poor, empty village?” Eumelia smiled.

“I was separated from my older sister, Nyx. And I ended up here, somehow.” Itachi nodded.

“I see. Unfortunate.”

Eumelia grinned, “Not really. I manage. Since nothing around here costs any money, I never have to pay for anything. So this place is actually very convenient to me. I like it here.”

Itachi smiled again, “Then I guess it’s alright, isn’t it?” Eumelia laughed. It was a beautiful and harmonious laugh, which filled the room with joy. He liked her laugh, and made it a plan to make her as happy as he could. For once in quite a while, Itachi felt at peace.

There was a girl that Emily frequently saw. In fact, Emily saw her every time she went out to find something edible. She always wore black lace and silk, and, from what Emily could tell, was blind. And she sang. She sang a beautiful song that seemed to lift Emily’s soul altogether. However, Emily was the only one who ever saw the girl. The others occasionally took turns going out for food, but Emily was the only one who ever saw the blind girl. When she would come back and recite the song she had sung for everyone else, and then asked if they had seen her, they all told her they’d never even known there was another girl anywhere out there. The day turned into weeks, as they stayed in the mediocre house, never once attacked. It seemed that Magao couldn’t find them.

Kimmie couldn’t understand this. It was drilling into her mind like a screw driver. No matter how she thought about it, Kimmie simply could not think of a legitimate reason for Magao to not have found her yet. It usually only took him a couple of days. Unless there was someone else he was hunting out. That was a large possibility. There were always times when Magao had other things to do, whether it was hunting, or gathering information to spew forth at her when he returned. Maybe he was following Deviji. She couldn’t figure it out, and thinking about it only gave her a headache, which put her in a bad mood. This quickly made her forget what she was thinking about. Maybe he was gone forever. Maybe Magao would never come back.

Fat chance. Kimmie thought irritably to herself. He would never give up on me. That’s just how he is… Stupid Aniki.

Hey, don’t call me stupid, brat.

Kimmie froze and stiffened. M-Magao!? She heard a mental ‘yes’ and began to shake. What are you doing in my head!? She screamed at him in her mind.

Are you mad at me, lil’ sis? I’m sorry. I’m bored and lonely right now. But don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.

I’m not worried!

She could feel his distress. Where are you? She asked him. She felt Magao light up.

I’ve been waiting for that. I’ve been caged up. I’m in Deviji’s care at the moment. Gathering information, you know. The likes.

Kimmie’s blood ran cold. You LET HER CAPTURE YOU!? Magao mentally nodded at her. Kimmie sighed heavily and put her face in her hands.

What’s wrong? You seem… upset. She felt his compassion through her mind.

Just… Don’t get hurt, okay? Be careful, and don’t push it with her. She is a Daemon, after all.

Don’t worry. I’ll be just fine…

She felt him leave the presence of her mind. How could he get into her mind without her noticing, anyways? She could feel everyone else in her head, but not him. Kimmie shook her head. “It doesn’t matter. I shouldn’t think about it too much…” She told herself firmly, shutting out all thought of Magao.

So, the weeks continued to turn into months as Kimmie heard nothing more from Magao.

Part Three

One Moment in Time

Itachi had been under the kind and gentle care of Eumelia for three months now. It felt like it’d only been a couple of days. He was up and about and helping Eumelia around the house. He hadn’t heard anything from Deviji in the past months, so he had thought maybe she’d forgotten about him. Itachi continued to live peacefully. Until that day came.

“Eumelia…” The blind girl turned around and stared towards him. Not directly at him, but towards the exact and precise spot where his voice had come from. She dried her hand and walked over to the Uchiha in question, and sat down next him.

“Yeah?” Itachi pulled her over to lean next to him. “I … I…” His entire body froze, and couldn’t make himself say it. No, he couldn’t love her! If he loved her, he was certain that Deviji would find out, and she would definitely kill the poor girl if she did! He couldn’t allow himself to love… He couldn’t…

He couldn’t tell her that she meant the world to him.

The thought stabbed at his heart continuously.

“Love me?” Eumelia whispered in his ear gently. Itachi turned towards her, surprised. She smiled, “I love you too, Itachi.” Eumelia leaned forward, and found his lips. She kissed him. She kissed him! Itachi mentally screamed, for a reason even the Uchiha prodigy couldn’t comprehend. He relaxed, and leaned in to her lips, his arms finding their own way around her body, and he held her closely. That moment in time was so perfect, it was unbelievable. But, in the back of his mind, Itachi knew that perfect moments didn’t last.

It was only a day or two later that Itachi found himself making dinner while Eumelia was out looking for something to murder, skin, and bring back to be cooked up and eaten.

Hello, my favorite little toy.

Itachi dropped a knife, which almost impaled his foot. D- Deviji! He heard a laugh in his mind.

It seems you’ve finally fallen in love. Good. Now it’s time for you to come back to me.

Itachi stiffened. No. He had someone to take care of. Something he had never had after he had wiped out his clan. And he wasn’t about to give it up now.

Excuse me!? Who do you think you are brat!? You’re nothing but my little pet! You hear!? You have NO RIGHT TO SAY NO TO ME! I’LL KILL HER! Itachi bit his lip. He had expected this. He had known it would happen. He knew what he would do.

I’ll kill myself, then. Anything to stay with Eumelia is worth it. Even death. Itachi hissed at her, picking the knife up from the floor. He began cleaning it as he heard Eumelia coming up the front steps. He had to warn her, before it was too late.

Itachi’s eyes suddenly filled with a gut wrenching pain. It was agonizing. With a groan, he fell to the floor, gasping, whimpering, and trying to make the pain go away. It was as if there was a fire behind his very eyes. He knew it was Deviji. The inflammation spread across his body, making him sweat. As he lay there, his vision fading from the pain, Itachi wondered if Deviji would kill Eumelia while he couldn’t help. His consciousness faded, and he passed out.

Go and get him. And kill Eumelia, while you’re at it.

Itachi woke up. He looked around for a moment, and sat up. He looked frantically for Eumelia, and saw her exit the bathroom, drying her hair with a towel. She had just taken a shower. Itachi watched her with anticipation. He had to tell her. Itachi opened his mouth to speak, but no sound came out. He couldn’t talk.

“Can you sense that?” Gina said, looking towards the door. “That incredible evil energy?”

“ That’s Disgaea… She’s making her move.” Alice muttered. Emily nodded from her position at the window.

“Deviji’s summoning demons to get Itachi. He won’t come back on his own, so she’s sent some monsters to get him for her.”

Sasuke stood up abruptly, but Alice grabbed his wrist and wrenched him back down. “Magao is in Deviji’s care. He’ll ensure that, if she does get him, he’ll be okay.”

Kimmie started, “How did you…?”

“What, you think he doesn’t tell me anything?”

Kimmie smiled slightly in exasperation.

Emily stood up, “We’re going. Keep your power at an untraceable level, don’t run, don’t freak out, and don’t be noisy. And do not under any conditions attack.” She said all this staring directly at Sasuke.

“She’s making her move.” Magao said aloud to himself, looking around the empty space. He forced the bars of his ‘cage’ open, and exited it. Magao crept around, trying hard to find something. Some one, who was not doing his job, was in trouble, and whom Magao wanted to find. He looked seemingly everywhere, in the never ending tunnels, hallways, rooms. But he couldn’t find him.

“Father… Where are you?” He growled to himself.

Itachi panicked. He could feel the familiar sense of the blood thirsty demons headed towards the small house. Eumelia could too. He could see that. She was looking straight towards the door. He had to warn her! He knew that she was no match for those monsters. He had to do something…!

But it was too late. The door smashed open, and one of spider like demons grabbed Eumelia with one huge hand. Before Itachi could even get up, he was trapped as well. He had to do something…

His power was slowly growing, he could feel it. Itachi was soon almost able to fight off the monsters. He threw one over his shoulder, and tore the arm off another.

“Itachi!” Eumelia cried. He looked, and in a split second, the spider holding her had forced it’s hand through her chest, and crushed her heart in it’s massive, outstretched hand.

Everything was happening so fast… Too fast. Itachi’s vision down spiraled. He couldn’t see. His power was building even faster, it was overwhelming. The heat from his Disgaea filled his entire body, and it felt as if his body was on fire again. He jerked, and wrenched himself away from the monsters, trying to cool off.

Eumelia… She was gone. Forever.

Itachi threw back and let loose a blood curdling, gut wrenching scream. The power released from it caused the windows to shatter, and Itachi exploded with power. He was enveloped in a blast that disintegrated the demons. It was bright, unbelievably bright, and the heat it emitted was unreal.

Emily stared at the glowing blast that erupted from the Earth, straight up into the sky. They began walking faster.

Magao gasped, his eyes wide, his mouth open, as he stared in the direction that power was coming from. He couldn’t believe his senses. It wasn’t possible. He wouldn’t believe it. Magao decided it was about time he left the dark abyss of The Underworld.

Alice, Emily, and Kimmie collapsed to the ground, holding their ears, and gasping for air.

“Kimmie? Are you okay?” Gina asked worriedly.

“His scream…” Alice gasped.

Emily finished for Alice, “He’s in pain…”

Kimmie collapsed onto her side, shaking uncontrollably as images of her past played before eyes. The scream… screams of pain, terror, fear, death. Magao…. Blood… her family, dead.

Tears streamed from her eyes into the snow.

Alice growled, “You two go ahead, we’ll catch up.” Gina nodded, and ran after Sasuke, who hadn’t stopped. They arrived at the scene just too late. Itachi was gone, as if he had disappeared.

“Where is he!?” Sasuke shouted into the huge crater.

“He’s not here anymore. He teleported himself subconsciously.” Someone said behind the two.

Magao stood there, right behind them, a strange smirk on his face. Gina jumped, and whirled around.

“It’s you again.”  She said shakily, remembering the stories she had heard about the man.

Magao grinned, “Hello, Angel. How are you?”

Gina sighed, “I’ve been better.”

Emily caught up, carrying Kimmie on her back, and completely ignoring Magao. “He’s not too far from where you first met Deviji.”

Sasuke nodded, “Then let’s get moving.”

Emily hit him in the back of the head, “You’re stupid. Incase you didn’t notice, Kimmie’s unconscious.” Sasuke looked depressed again, “We’ll leave to go find him tomorrow.”

Magao said, “I’m going to go see if I can figure out where someone is.” He left quickly, flying high in the sky.

Emily sighed, “Well, let’s get back to the house.” She turned around and started walking. Gina took Sasuke’s hand and pulled him along.

“He’s gotten away, Deviji.”

Said woman scoffed, “I’ll find him. Just you wait, you’re Excellency.” A man walked out of the darkness. His thick, long white hair hung around his shoulders. Deviji started, and fell into a crouching stance, as she respected the Holy Son.

“Mammon, I found him.” The man held up Magao, battered, exhausted, and unconscious.

That’s…! Deviji thought, paling, is that…?

Mammon grinned in the darkness, “Thanks, Deimos.” The Unholy Son pointed towards a cage right next to him. Deimos, his dulled, possessed dark blue eyes, walked over and threw Magao into the chamber. He locked and sealed up the door.

The three black fangs that had been pierced into his throat were what possessed him. Mammon was just that much more powerful. He was turning his cousin into a demon. Deimos sat down in his dark throne. Deviji looked back up, and stood.

Mammon stood, “I have something to show you Deviji. Come along.” Deviji nodded.

“Yes, you’re Excellency.” She started after him.

They walked down a seemingly endless hallway, black coal walls that seemed to be crumbling, and yet looked amazingly strong. They stopped before a certain metal door. It had electronic number system installed on it that read 666. There was a pentagon on the door, written in what looked like blood. Mammon opened the door without hesitation. Deviji gasped at what she saw.

There, hung up by the blood vessels of human beings was Lucifer, with the word ‘Angel’ written on his chest in Japanese kanji. His eyes where closed, and he appeared to be sleeping.

“This is my father. You probably know him as the Unholy Lucifer, the Devil.” Mammon smiled, “I’ve sealed him away forever more.” Deviji stared wide eyed at the Deamonn.

It seemed as if Mammon really was going to win this battle.

Part Four

Nobody Wants To Be Lonely

Itachi stared towards the brilliant purple sky, which was being quickly over come by dark black and gray clouds. Eumelia was dead… gone forever from his grasp. He would never see her again. Never…

His whole body began to shake uncontrollably. Itachi sat up quickly, and looked around, rubbing his blurry eyes. He saw a small cave, which he could sense a strange sort of chakra coming from. He stood up and staggered over to it, looking around cautiously. He saw someone. It was a woman, who looked as if she had been ravaged. He sighed. She was pregnant, he could tell, and cold. Possibly sick. Itachi walked over to her, and sat down next to her. She leaned against him, shivering and trying to get warm. Itachi wrapped his arms around her to keep her warm. Judging from what little he knew about pregnancy, she was about four months pregnant, and in dire need of medical attention. Eumelia would’ve been able to take care of her…

Stop thinking about Eumelia! You’re only going to make it worse. He told himself angrily. Itachi sighed heavily, holding the stranger tighter, trying to keep her warm, as it stormed harshly outside.

It was cold. It was unbelievably freezing cold, and Kimmie hated it. She hated the coldness above all else. Emily was trying to get rid of the snow, but it wasn’t budging. It would not leave, and it was starting to irritate her.

For Heaven’s sake! She was the Fallen Angel of Ice! The element of ice was her master, and snow was a pure extract of it! She was supposed to be able to get rid of it easily! She gave up, and tried to ignore it, knowing that Kimmie was detesting every second of it. She watched her younger cousin encase herself in a warm chakra aura of orange red. Sasuke and Gina inched closer to her, while Alice and Emily slowly edged away. The two of them were used to frozen temperatures.  Meanwhile, Gina and Sasuke were made up of normal humane substances. Hence, they were a normal 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit.  Kimmie, on the other hand, was always a raging 684.7 degrees plus. Alice was always the absolute opposite of this. She was -684.7 degrees. And Emily was simply at a constant -937.4. All the Fallen Angel’s were at a constant temperature based on their Element. Sasuke stopped abruptly, and everyone looked up to see what had startled him. The strange beast startled everyone else, too. Its black fangs seemed to glow with an unimaginable intensity, and it’s eyes… It had the brightest yellow eyes, and they were terrifying. It growled menacingly, like a dog. Yes, that was what it was, something along the thin lines of a dog. More like a dog demon, spawned from the fiery pit of Hell itself.

Emily winced in fear, unsure of what to think. She looked the dog directly in the eyes, and it stared back. She couldn’t move. Emily’s fear increased. She couldn’t move! This was not good! What if it attacked!? What would she do!? She tried desperately to move a limb, but failed. The monstrous beast pounced, similar to a cat, and leapt at her. Everyone else moved, not knowing that Emily was frozen in place.

“Emily!” Alice shouted, “Move!!!” But Emily could not move. She couldn’t even react. She could only mentally scream at herself before that thing grabbed her throat in its jaws and wrung her neck thoroughly, as if it was trying to tear off her head. Kimmie acted first, leaping forth, and forced the mutt away to the ground, and taking out one of several guns, which she rarely ever used, and shooting it liberally, repeatedly, blast after blast, right in the heart. She shot at it until it was done moving for sure. She gasped and panted, before turning around, “Emily!” Something grabbed her ankle. Kimmie looked down only to see the mangled dog biting her ankle. Her entire leg went numb, and she collapsed.

“Kimmie!” Gina shouted, pulling out a kunai and running towards the scene, Sasuke at her heels.

They attacked at the same time, throwing kunai, and pinning the dog down. “MOVE!” Alice cried loudly. At the last second, they jumped away, and a blast hit the beast, blasting it away. But it didn’t stop there. It came right back, it’s sights set on Sasuke this time, thinking he had thrown the blast. Sasuke shouted as it managed to sink its jaws into his side, biting down hard, and causing his entire torso to go numb, and cool. He shouted in pain, and tried to force his arms to do something. Gina and Alice attacked together, throwing blast after blast, kunai after kunai, trying to kill the bloody thing. It seemed to be getting stronger though. Stronger, and stronger, every time it went back and bit someone, it got more confident.

Then, it finally went and snared Gina in its grip, “GINA!” Alice cried, worried that she’d be left alone in this fight. However, the dog let her go immediately, its mouth badly burned, and its wounds tearing themselves open. It yelped and whined, and ran away. Kimmie, Sasuke, and Emily sat up slowly, their wounds healing on their own accord.

That was a Hellhound, Kimmie. There may be some side effects. Be careful. Haru muttered to her, Kimmie nodded to herself, knowing that Kairi had probably told Emily the exact same thing, as well as Chiyo to Alice.

They continued on, nobody noticing the slight swelling and large, red bruise blossoming into a seal on Emily’s neck.

He was cold, and hungry, but mainly cold. Itachi sat there, half conscious and frozen cold with his charge. He couldn’t think, and could hardly breathe. There was blistering storm outside, and he knew he wouldn’t make it alive if he stayed like he was. Suddenly, there was a flicker, and a sudden burst of flame. He looked up, and saw a dark shadow. A person, working with the fire, keeping it high, he was putting in logs and other burnable items. Itachi didn’t recognize him, but he didn’t care. The stranger walked over and picked up his charge, setting her down gently by the fire, and then helping Itachi over to her as well.

“You should be fine until daytime with this. Good luck.” The young girl said, before sprouting wings and flying off into the blizzard.

“Itachi!” He heard a voice and looked up towards the sunlit opening of the dank cave. It was Gina, the only thing he had left that resembled Eumelia perfectly. He smiled in his mind. Gina went over quickly, closely followed by Sasuke. She helped up the Uchiha, and then left Itachi’s charge with Sasuke.

“Sh- She’s… Pregnant!” he exclaimed, disbelieving.

Gina shrugged, “I can deliver a baby.” Sasuke gave her a strange look.

Using their Earth Elemental abilities, Alice and Kimmie managed to make a house of stone. Gina and Sasuke laid Itachi and his charge down in front of Kimmie’s handmade fireplace, and studied them over quickly, using the light of the fire that had already been made.

The girl stirred, and opened her white, colorless, pupil less eyes. She looked around, “Who are you? And where’s that boy?” She sat up quickly, for someone who was six months pregnant, and spotted Itachi. She didn’t smile, but looked ever so slightly relieved from the tiny bit of emotion she had previously shown.

I’m Nyx. She looked directly at Sasuke, and pulled her black hood up. He instantly recognized her.

“You’re the girl who helped me to find Itachi! Didn’t Magao attack you?”

Nyx looked horrifyingly angry at this, Magao is the reason I’m pregnant, you snot nosed child. She growled. Everything in the room froze. No one seemed to even breathe or blink. Magao had gotten Nyx pregnant.

He had raped her.

Kimmie’s blood froze over, and she paled, and seemed to actually fade to a sort of olive color. She swayed, terrified, to horrified to speak. Magao would actually do that!? He wasn’t kidding when he said he wanted her. She had to be more careful, otherwise… Who knew what that psychopath would do?

Kimmie ran outside and threw up by a tree, her stomach hurling forth everything she had eaten and not digested. Sweat began to prickle its way to her forehead, and she fell to her knees, coughing up. A blast of cold wind hit her, freezing the sweat that had accumulated on her forehead. She shivered. Cold, and now lonely, Kimmie got up, shoveling snow into her mouth to get rid of the horrible taste, and began to walk. Could she really risk anything happening to her friends? Kimmie sighed. Not that she had a choice in the matter. Magao wouldn’t allow her to abandon Alice and Emily. They were her ‘guard’, and they were taking care of her, so he would not allow them to be separated.

“What seems to be troubling you?” Startled, Kimmie looked up. It was a man, rather young, and dashingly handsome. He was, unmistakably, the most beautiful man Kimmie had ever seen.

“Well…” She muttered, sitting down on the fallen tree that happened to be next to her.

“Someone is hunting me, and they want me to be theirs wholly. They’re in love with me, but I don’t love them. Not in that way anyhow. But they’re serious, and they might kill some friends of mine to get to me.” She began softly, and sadly, staring at her knees, “He wouldn’t let me run away, I know. The thing is, this guy I really do love, and care about, I’m just not IN love with him. You know? I just wish he would understand that.”

“You should tell him.”

Kimmie began quietly crying, “I have told him! He won’t listen, he yells at me, and says that I’m breaking the promise I made ages ago. ‘To be his forever and always’, but I was three years old when we made that promise!”

The man looked down, “Then, I suppose, he is a lost cause. You should do away with him.”

Kimmie looked up angrily, “I can’t just kill my brother!” She said in a shrilly voice.

“You’re brother? Interesting.” The man watched Kimmie blush. “I would love to stay and chat a bit longer, but its cold out tonight, and you could use some rest. Also, I have places to be.” They shook hands.

“I’m Kimmie, by the way.”

“Really? I’m…” He leaned forward and whispered something in her ear. Kimmie’s entire body went rigid, and she collapsed to the ground, before turning and scampering away, like a frightened deer.

Magao! Magao! MAGAO! Kimmie opened a mental passage to Magao’s mind, trying to contact him. She couldn’t. Tears were streaming from her eyes as she ran through the thick, heavily fallen snow. Magao was caught. This time it was the real thing. Magao, please answer, please! I’m sorry I said all those horrible things to you! Really, I am, just please answer me! Magao!!

Kimmie walked into the stone house she had built half an hour later, her eyes streaming. When she walked in, Alice hugged her gently, “I was worried.” She said softly, “where were you?” she asked, almost monotonous.

“Magao’s been captured for real, by Mammon, Ali.” Alice broke away from the hug, her eyes wide, and filled with horror. Magao knew everything about everyone. If they broke him, then he would be forced to spill everything. All their weaknesses, strengths, locations, absolutely everything. And it would only take Mammon moments to find them! Now they had new priorities. Now they had to go to Hades, and find Magao, and bring him back to the surface.

The problem was, the only way to Hades was a Black Sphere on the top of the world, in the center of the Arctic Tundra. So they were going to have to travel from the bottom of the China region, across Mongolia, and Kazakhstan, into Siberia Russia, and then across frozen water and snow, to the very center of the Arctic, not to mention they had a six month pregnant mother on board. They had a very long journey ahead of them, indeed.

No one was looking forward to it, but they didn’t have a choice.

Gina sighed, thinking of Magao. Inside, he really was a good person; he just had some sort of mood disorder, or something. He just wasn’t right in the head, that’s all. But he really was a good guy. After all, he had protected, and saved Sasuke, he had helped her out, and he had helped Emily, Alice, and Kimmie on numerous occasions. He was really trying to protect the world, just so he could be with his little sister.  Gina smiled. It was almost like Gohan… She knew that Kimmie probably wouldn’t want to save Magao after a while, but Gina didn’t care. She liked him, so she would save him.

That night, they set off into the cool, perfect weather, heading directly north, to the Black Sphere of Hades.

Part Five

Devijikin

Magao shut his eyes tightly, clenching his jaw and shaking from blood loss, as Mammon softly pressed his claws against the small of his throat, just barely piercing the skin. Magao whimpered softly, almost so quiet you couldn’t hear. But of course, Mammon could almost feel his pain. He laughed gleefully.

“Ready to give in yet, Magao?” he asked quietly, leaning in so that his chin rested comfortably on Magao’s shoulder.

“In your dreams, you creep.” Magao snarled angrily, trying to shake his way out of the chains binding him to a cross. Mammon’s eyes narrowed.

“Watch your tongue, you pathetic being.” He snapped, turning away. Mammon left his captive, alone in the dark chamber. “I’ll be back soon.” He growled. Magao sighed. Though he acted strong, his will was slowly breaking away. He wouldn’t last much longer. Magao started to shake as he cried silently, thinking of his sister. He missed her so much.

It was quiet, almost too quiet, at night. Kimmie, Emily, Alice, Gina, and Sasuke, who was carrying Nyx, set up for camp. They were tired, but couldn’t sleep. Emily yawned, and started to say…

“Of Adam’s first wife, Lilith, it is told
the witch he loved before the gift of Eve,
That, here the snake’s, her sweet tongue could deceive,
and her enchanted hair was the first gold.
And still she sits, young while the earth is old,
And, subtly of herself contemplative,
Draws men to watch the bright web she can weave,
Till heart and body and life are in its hold.
The rose and poppy is her flower; for where
is he not found, O Lilith, whom shed scent
and soft-shed kisses and soft sleep shall snare?
As that youth’s eyes burned at thine, so went
Thy spell through him, and left his straight neck bent
and round his heart one strangling golden hair.” She said slowly, perfectly, and softly. Everyone was staring at her like she was insane.

“What? I like that poem.” Emily blushed and looked down.

Kimmie sighed, her eyes dropping shut steadily. “I really like that one.”

Nyx nodded, and stared at her belly, her bloated, enlarged, round, fat belly, full of baby. She sighed heavily, and shut her eyes. She needed rest, she knew. The Fallen Angel of the Void soon fell asleep, ignoring Lilith’s soft, gentle nudges to be let out into the open.

It was daytime again, and they were on the move. They had made it into the region of Mongolia, where it was steadily getting colder and colder.

Suddenly, Kimmie felt a presence in her mind and froze.

M-Magao?

Hey, Imouto.

What happened!?

Oh, it’s nothing. I’m fine now.

So… Your totally okay, not a joke.

Not a joke. I’ll tell you next time I see you. If I feel like it.

The connection faded, and they broke off.

Magao left that same day. He was headed straight for his little sister, and he wasn’t going to stop for anything. Not even a stupid, gigantic killer whale trying to eat him. No, he killed that.

It didn’t take long at all. The first thing he did was throw his arms around her when he saw her.

“I missed you.” Kimmie pulled away and checked him over. There where bandages over his right eye, around his neck, and over his left arm, but other than that, he appeared to be fine.

“I see you found her, Magao. Thank you for leading me here.” It was Deviji.

“You again?” Magao laughed, “You’re pathetic. Why are you even here?” His arrogance matched Deviji’s and it began to worry Alice.  It wouldn’t be very lovely if she had a really clever trap up her sleeve.

Someone arrived next to her; they looked highly similar, same black hair, green eyes, and a nasty smirk. “I’m Devjikin. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Gina.” Suddenly, Devjikin was right in front of Gina, taking her hand in a chivalrous manner, and kissing the back of it politely. Gina blushed ever so slightly, and shivers ran up her spin as his cool lips touched her skin.

“What are you doing here?” Sasuke growled, yanking Gina’s hand away from Devjikin’s kiss protectively. Gina blushed harder, and smiled gently.

“Well, one, His Excellency, Mammon wants us to bring you to him, because he wants you under his control, or dead. Either that or he wants Gina. Better yet, I’ll bring both of you.” Devjikin bowed courteously, “If you’ll please follow me, I’ll take you to him. I assure you the living quarters will be quite comfortable.”

“In your dreams, you bastard!” Magao shouted angrily, “Do you really think that I, for one, will allow Yin and Yang to be under that monsters control!? Are you insane!?” Devjikin sighed.

“I didn’t come here to fight, you know.” He grinned in a manner highly similar to Envy, “But I suppose it would be fun to fight with the Angel and the Fallen at the same time, along with four others. This’ll be interesting.” He laughed insanely. Deviji smiled.

“Have fun, Devjikin.”

“I will, Devi.” Devjikin turned, only to have his face smashed in by a flying kick delivered by Magao. Or did he? No, Devjikin crouched low enough to avoid the kick and roundhouse kicked Magao’s other leg, causing him to trip and lose balance for a second. But a second was all Devjikin needed to attack.

Alice and Kimmie jumped into the fray, Emily hot on their heels. They pulled out their specialty weapons; scimitars for Alice, claws for Kimmie, and an ice crystal claymore named Morana for Emily. They readied their weapons in the air, and went after him, one after the other, Alice would try to make a hit, and then she would move in the last second it took for Kimmie to swing, and then Kimmie would move for the same purpose. They were going at it as fast as they could, while Gina silently formed the Kamehameha wave.

Just then, right at the perfect timing, Kimmie, Emily, Magao, Sasuke, and Alice all jumped away, towards Gina, as she fired the blast. It smashed into Devjikin with brutal force, and at that same second, Gina used the Instant Transmission to teleport them out of there.

Devjikin’s hand was burned slightly, but it healed in short order. He looked around.

“You let them get away.”

“No I didn’t.” He growled at his sister’s remark. They had left so suddenly, he hadn’t had time to do anything but hold up his hand to stop the blast. They were extremely rude, and that made him angry. They could’ve at least stopped to say ‘later’ or something. His eyes glowered at the ground and he sighed, a small cloud of mist escaping from his mouth. “Let’s go.” He would find them again, easily enough.

Gina looked up instantly at Kimmie irritably, “What’s all this about Yin and Yang? Fallen and Angel? Why didn’t you tell me at least something to begin with?!” She snapped.

Kimmie shrugged, “I’m not supposed to, for your own safety. But since Magao blurted it out, I suppose I should at least try to explain it.

“You are Angel, or the white half of Yin and Yang. Sasuke is Fallen, or the black side of Yin and Yang. You two represent the balance between light and darkness. If, say, Sasuke died, the Light would over power the darkness, thus destroying that balance, and cause the apocalypse.”

“By the way, you said something about a Pone Glyph a while back. Could you explain that?”

Emily cut in, “Kimmie and Alice can’t really read the inscriptions on the Pone Glyph. And they don’t remember what I told them either, do they?” Both shrugged, “But I wrote it all down here,” Emily pulled out a small, black, leather bound journal. “Okay, this is what it says.”

“Mistress of creation among the shadows, tells thee who can read this diary. ‘Beware of the Yin and Yang. Death and pain await those who dare to take their freedom, and hold them from the world. Thou shalt read this journal, and understand the meaning of freedom love.

“Yang is the light, with but a smallest bit of darkness held in her soul. She is a constant bringer of hope and joy. She lights the path for those lost in the darkness. She is the one who shall win the battles against the darkness; she is the one who shall not be over come by sadness or pain. She will fight for her family, her friends, and her freedom, and the world. Yang is the one who with save all from Hell. Yang knows that Hell hath no fury, only desire.

Yin is the darkness, with but a smallest bit of light held in his soul. He is a constant bringer of guidance and logic. He darkens the path for those blinded by light. He is the one who shall win the battle against the light; he is the one who shall not be overwhelmed by happiness and hope. He shall win for the darkness, his family, his friends, and his freedom. Yin is the one who will save all from Heaven. Yin knows that Heaven hath no happiness, only desire.

Yin and Yang shall win each other’s heart, thus creating a special balance that is important for the world to survive. One will not live if the other dies. Their heart is one, their souls are connected, and the balance shall be sustained. They shall be together for eternity, in spirit forevermore.

Fire, ice, broken, rebirth, void, the Angel, and the Fallen shall be together forevermore, in their hearts.”

Gina stared, ever so slightly confused. “Who wrote this anyways?”

Alice looked up indifferently, “The Mistress of Creation, obviously.”

Gina rolled her eyes, “Who is the Mistress of Creation?”

Emily shrugged, “I haven’t been to read this signature yet.”

Sasuke blinked, “It says Karalora.” Everyone stared at him. “What? I used my Sharingan.”

Kimmie turned the paper in all direction, “Does it really?” Itachi looked over and nodded, “Yeah. It does. It says Karalora, Mistress of Creation. It’s the only thing written in Kanji in the entire thing.” Emily nodded as well.

“I see. Mistress of Creation. I wonder what that’s supposed to mean.”

Karalora…. In old myths, she was responsible for turning the Apocalypse into the Rebirth of the Universe, as a suggestion of her top Advisor, Jilvert Damn, or Rebirth.

<However, that’s only a myth. It might not even be true.>

Kimmie and Emily repeated these exact words to Gina.

Kimmie sighed, “Does that explain everything to you?” Gina laughed softly and nodded, “Yes, it does.”

Emily smirked, “Then I guess we had better go then, before Devjikin catches up to us.”

“It’s too late for that, Emily.” They all froze and looked up, into the trees. There was Devjikin. He had already caught up! Gina cursed under her breath. That Kamehameha Wave hadn’t even slowed him down! Not a good thing. It didn’t matter now, though. He was here, so they had to take care of him.

“Well, we may as well attack him.” Alice said indifferently, pulling out her scimitars. “Ka, Sui. Give me all you’ve got.” She spoke to her swords softly, crouching into her fighting stance. Kimmie and Emily also pulled out their weapons, and Itachi grabbed his sword. Meanwhile, Gina pulled out her syi salika and Sasuke unsheathed his katana.

Devjikin didn’t move, but instead raised a hand, “I’d appreciate it the girls stood down. I don’t like fighting girls. It’s against my style.”

Gina smirked, “So you won’t fight me?”

“Only you force me to.”

Darn. Gina thought, I was hoping he’d say no.

Alice smirked; already she was rather anxious to fight this man. Kimmie attacked first, charging up the tree and taking Devjikin by surprise. She chopped off the branch he was sitting on, and the moment he touched the ground, Gina was there throwing punches and kicks in perfect harmony. Devjikin would not attack her though. He was only dodging and blocking. This only aggravated Gina greatly, which caused her to pick up speed, and get sloppy. Emily jumped into the fray, and muttered to Gina to calm down. He would have to attack them sometime.

Itachi got around to Devjikin’s back and attacked, but said man dodged, and caused Itachi to narrowly miss Emily’s head. Devjikin moved to the left, and the second he turned his head, Kimmie and Sasuke were there, attacking him together, head on with skill. Finally, the Deamonn jumped back with a smile on his face. “I suppose it’s unavoidable. You’re all very good fighters. Now I’m going to have to get serious.” He was bluffing, Kimmie could see.

Kimmie smirked, “Give it your all, Devjikin.”

Devjikin grinned, “With honor, Fallen Angel of Fire.” All at once, Devjikin had attacked Kimmie, elbowing her directly in the stomach. She didn’t flinch, but revealed that she had caught the attack.

“Your chakra is based on the Fire Elemental, isn’t it?”

Devjikin’s eyes narrowed, “You can tell?”

“Duh, I’m the Fallen Angel of Fire, dipweed.” She taunted. “But, now that I know your chakra type, and revealed it, you’ll be defeated with much more ease.” Kimmie forced Devjikin’s attack right back at him, and stepped back from the fight.

“Sasuke, Itachi. Leave this to Emily, Gina and Alice. Our Elemental types are fire, so we won’t be able to do any damage to him.” Sasuke and Itachi nodded, and stepped down from the fight.

“If you blast him with a shock of Fire chakra, it won’t do him any damage. He will also be able to see through our attacks more easily, because Fire knows the flow of Fire. So let’s just watch.” Itachi smirked, and watched, his Sharingan activated. He would analyze how the three fought, and learn from them.

Alice threw her scimitars at Devjikin, and he dodged. While he was in the air, Gina attacked him with her syi salika, and managed to slice open his arm, and do a number on his chest with her fist. Emily then threw a blast at him, but missed, so Alice and Gina instantly jumped right back on top of him, never letting him rest, always giving him more, and more. Gina enjoyed her self, as her Saiyan blood was pumped with adrenaline, she moved faster, and smoother, and was ten times more witty and clever with what and how she did things.

Emily was using as much of her Ice Crystal Morana as possible. She loved how the blade moved, how it was like an extension of her body. How it was just so light and easy to use. But she couldn’t use it for this battle. She quickly sheathed it, and jumped forth to the fight, maneuvering, and using her favorite fighting style; Ryuuken. A combination of palm strikes and miniature chakra explosions, and every hit, whether it was blocked or not, would puncture down to the muscle, and force it to tighten up, making it ache and be hard to use. She was enjoying her self, enjoying the wonderful endorphins that spread through her bloodstream as she moved her body in a stiff, yet liquid like way.

Alice stood back, her hands held up before her chest, forming a ball of energy as she muttered to herself, “<German>Mistress of Darkness among the shadows, living among us all, give me the strength to defeat this Demon.</German>” She chanted to herself quietly, as a black ball of energy formed between her hands. Gina made it back to Alice, to help her make this blast stronger. Gina put forth her own pure energy, causing a strange reaction. The blast turned gray, and grew slightly. Alice smiled ever so slightly.

“Thanks.” Gina nodded. Alice aimed, Emily moved, and together, Gina and Alice fired.

The effect was amazing. The blast was so strong it shook the very Earth beneath them. It engulfed Devjikin completely, wiping out his entire Disgaea signature, so it was clear that they had defeated him completely. Gina and Alice gasped, and fell to the ground, panting heavily.

“That was quite amazing.” Kimmie clapped simplistically. Gina laughed, the adrenaline rush causing her face to flush. She was a bit hot, and slightly tired, but she couldn’t stop moving. Gina swayed back and forth, jumping ever so faintly in the process. Kimmie laughed to herself. “Well, we had better keep going, right? We shouldn’t stay right here. That last attack probably gave away our location to everyone in the universe.”

Emily laughed, “Oh well. Let’s walk for a few miles, and get near some water, to hide our scent.” Everyone agreed, and they began walking again.

Part Six

Karalora, Mistress of Creation

I kill a man, I am an assassin;

I kill millions, I am a conqueror;

I kill everybody, I am a god

Mistress of darkness, among the shadows,

Forever screaming, forever afraid,

Who speaks in third person, so she can forget that she’s me

Just when she thinks she can trust me,

Just when she needs me the most,

I will let her down.

I’m sorry that I’m not worth the blood you have given me.

Mistress of darkness, among the shadows, living amongst us all,

Please give me strength to fight this feeling,

This feeling of emptiness

Save me from myself, my friends, my lovers, everyone.

Free me from this pain, I beg of you, I love you.

Save me from the ones who think they know me,

I want the strength to help myself; I don’t want to be alone any longer.

I want to help you; I want to be with you, my Mistress of Darkness.

Mother of Hate, you are the only one who understood me

Give me the strength to fight for you.

Give me the courage to kill a man,

Give me the courage to kill millions

Give me the courage to kill everyone

Give me the strength to be god.

I want to be able to love again.

I want to be worth the pain you have gone through to give me what I have now.

I wish I could save you, as well, my Mistress of Darkness, among the shadows.

I shall sleep now, please save my soul.

Kimmie’s eyes were determinedly shut. She would not open them, and Emily was getting a bit worried. Kimmie never overslept. In fact, she was usually the first person to wake up. Emily covered her hand in a block of ice, and put it on Kimmie forehead. Judging by the amazing speed that it melted, Kimmie’s forehead was about the temperature of a supernova. This basically meant that she had a pretty bad fever. She shivered, and curled up beneath the covers. Emily got a heating pad, turned it on high, and put it on Kimmie’s forehead.

Gina stared at her, “Wouldn’t that make it worse?”

Emily shrugged, “If I put ice on her forehead, it’ll turn into water and start boiling. The heat should break her fever in a while.

Mistress of darkness, among the shadows…

Unknown to everything you ever knew.

Because there is no meaning. Except that there is.

People die, but real love lasts forever…

Kimmie rolled about in her sleep, wriggling, twitching, and unable to stop moving. She was having a nightmare, or strange dream, it actually was.

If you could have anything in the world, what would you want? Hiaria asked curiously, looking over at Kimmie, as they lay in the grass.

I would want, Kimmie paused, I want the world to be free of this evil hold. Hiaria laughed.

You’re so noble, Kimmie! She said, giggling.

What about you? What do you want? Kimmie asked sheepishly.

Hiaria thought for a moment, I don’t know, really. Kimmie nodded simply.

Mistress of Evil, of Darkness, of loneliness,

Mistress of my heart.

You are me, myself is you,

And yet, thou is never there for yourself, thou haven’t been in years.

Why will you not help me? I pray for you to be there for me,

Mistress of Darkness, my soul.

I wish you back gain.

I wish you to help yourself, to save yourself, to protect, the way thou did when myself was youngest.

I wish thou would return to my heart, to my mind.

Thou shalt miss me not.

I will always be here, waiting for thou to return to myself.

Thou shall return some day, I hope.

I miss thou much, and pray each day,

For thou to return to me, so that myself may be whole once more.

I will be herein my home forever, waiting for thou to return.

I miss my spirit, my heart, my mind.

I wish you would come home, my soul. I miss you so much…

Please, come home soon.

I love you.

I shall sleep now, please save me from the darkness of you.

Do you think that this life is real?

Not really. Why?

I’m not sure; it’s just that nothing feels like it could be real.

What if it isn’t real?

Then everything really will end forever someday.

And then what?

Huh?

What will happen then?

I… I don’t know. I don’t know! Why are you asking me anyways?! I’m not God! I don’t know everything!

You think that I do?

Huh?

Well, I may not be God, but, how do you know that such a being even exists?

Who are you then?

I am Karalora. Mistress of Creation.

Mistress of… You’re the one who wrote that note!

Yes, I did actually. Hundreds of years ago, I made that Pone glyph, because someone decided to separate Yin and Yang for ever, and thus they broke the balance. I made that Pone glyph to warn others, so that the same thing would not happen again.

Who was it?

He was a sin, by the name of Envy.

Envy… Wait!

Yes, the very same. I don’t know why he survived and made his way out of the prison I put him in, but it doesn’t matter anymore.

But you’re the Almighty Queen! You can get rid of him!

Are you insane? I may be an Almighty Queen, but I do not interfere with what happens on Earth. Dalwarr is responsible for that. A child created by Lilith.

A Death…? Why would she do that?

A punishment for the first man, Dalwarr, because he cheated on her, and fell for another woman, by the name of Alice. Lust, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride, Gluttony, and Greed were the sins she created.

Why don’t you stop her!?

Kimmie stood up abruptly from the table she sat at, and glared daggers at Karalora.

Why didn’t you stop her?

Huh?

I have no more power than you do, Kimberly! I made be a Goddess, but I am the Goddess of Creation! Not Destruction! Only my husband could’ve interfered, but he didn’t. So I haven’t got any right to. What’s done is done. I can’t undo it. Me and my husband don’t agree on a lot, but we love each other. So we both give in to each other. Freedom love, submit to one another, right?

I… I guess so. I’m sorry.

Kimmie sat back down and stared at her knees.

Don’t worry, he’ll understand someday.

Huh?

Your brother. Someday, he’ll understand, and he’ll stop trying.

Kimmie smiled gently, I hope so. I hate hurting him like I always do. Why doesn’t he understand, anyway?

I don’t know.

You created him!

I didn’t invent his personality! I don’t do that! I create souls, and personality sprouts and goes to seed on its own. I have absolutely no control over what happens on the ground. I do my job, and that’s that. My job is creating spirits, and souls, and nothing more.

But, why can other people create things as well?

It’s in the genes. My genes get passed on, and people abuse this power. Like Mammon.

Can you help me find him? And defeat him?

No. I’m sorry, Kimberly. But I can’t do that.

Why not?

I’m Creation, not Destruction, remember?

Oh yeah… Could Destruction help me?

He won’t. Mammon is on the Dark Half of our family, and he can’t go against that side, like I can’t go against the Light Half.

I see… Damn it.

Karalora smiled softly, But I can tell you something. Kimmie looked up quickly. Mammon has control over his cousin. If he lost this control, he’d be helpless. Mammon isn’t really that strong. But, you still can’t defeat him. You have to free Lucifer and Deimos. That’s your only option.

I see… Okay! Thanks so much!

No problem. Now, I’m going to break your fever, and you’re going to wake up. Deal?

Deal!

Kimmie opened her eyes slowly, the light burning them, and causing them to itch and ache. She sat up, ignoring the head rush, and yawned.

“I’m back from the dead.” She said sarcastically.

“I was talking to Karalora.

“Who?” Emily stared at her in confusion/

“The Mistress of Creation.”

Kimmie proceeded to explain the conversation in a nutshell, telling only the important parts.

“So we need to free Lucifer and Deimos, right?”

“We need to find them first, Gina.”

Gina sighed and nodded, “Very good point.” There was a long pause.

Alice spoke up, “The first place to start would be Hades, right? Then let’s go to Hades.” Everyone agreed on this plan.

Emily laughed, “Well, then I guess we had better get going, right?” They then set off for the Black Sphere of Hades, yet again.

Part Seven

The Birth

Nyx was eight months pregnant and nearly up to her ninth month. It was spring, and she was due in a few weeks, if Gina’s calculations were correct. They had permanently stopped, and weren’t going to be going anywhere until at least a week after Nyx had her child. And that was entirely Alice’s decision, and Emily’s agreement. They were staying behind a waterfall, which lead into a great lake.  It had pure water (thanks to Emily and her Mizu Kiyoi technique), and was surrounded by brushes full of berries, fruit and other delicious treats. Kimmie was slightly irritated by the delay, and wanted to get to Hades as fast as possible, without any interruptions. Magao soothed her irritable heart by hugging her though. However, this only made her anxious, and rather terrified, which would have to be fixed by Alice.

Nyx was mad at Magao more than she had ever been before. She was slowing down the entire trip, and it was entirely his fault, though he swore up and down that he didn’t recall ever impregnating her in the first place.

Yet, even though Kimmie knew exactly what and why Magao had done what he’d done, she kept her mouth shut, not really wanting Magao to know about the dark spirit that dwelled in his soul. She feared he might come to use it on his own will. Kimmie had seen what that monster could make Magao do, and she didn’t ever want to have to witness it again. She decided it was probably best if he just stayed close to her, and didn’t know about his inner self.

So, she kept her silence, which was actually harder than one might think. Keeping her mouth closed was not something Kimmie had ever been very good at. She had a very large problem with impulse control. She had never been good at holding back what she wanted to say, and usually blurted it out. She couldn’t stop herself from interrupting a conversation often enough. Usually, Kimmie just didn’t talk at all. So far, it was proving to work quite well.

However, Kimmie would not allow herself to divulge that information, for his sake. Yes, she really did care about him in every aspect. She worried that he might get hurt; sometimes she would be upset if he got sick. When he unleashed that demon of a sprit he had locked away in his soul, she was truly scared for him, worried and afraid that one day, it may actually take over his soul completely. She was afraid of him, indeed, but they were brother and sister, and he had always been helping her out of the worst of situation with the smallest nudges, which he would somehow pull off without actually appearing to her eyes. Sometimes, Kimmie wondered if he actually knew that she was scared of him.

Occasionally, life would stop just long enough for Sasuke to brood. Sometimes, he would actually have times for such things, because he wasn’t being attacked. Every now and then, he was allowed to just stop and think about the world and life around him, and how fast it was spinning. All of the many different aspects of it and everything about it.

For example, currently, he was thinking about Alice. She was a quiet, mysterious young woman. Though she was only thirteen, she had all the necessary womanly aspects about her, and was obviously quite wise. It seemed that she had been through a lot as well. Sometimes, when his Sharingan was activated, he would look directly into her eyes, and read them carefully, trying to find out a little bit about her. She never really went into long periods of speaking, and preferred to just keep quiet and let everyone else say what she wanted to say for her. Every now and then, Sasuke would notice that Kimmie said precisely what Alice was thinking, which led him to wonder just how strong their spiritual connection was. Perhaps there was always a constant telepathic connection going on between them, which allowed Alice’s thoughts to seep into Kimmie’s mind. Perhaps, of course. Sasuke didn’t really know; he was only making an educated guess. However, it drew attention to his mind when Alice and Kimmie would leave, totally alone, and come back empty handed, but looking ever so slightly horrified, and staring at each other. It actually bothered him a lot. He wanted to know what would creep them out that much! One time, he had tried to follow them, but had lost track of them within two minutes. They were so fast… He had no chance of being able to keep up with them, so he soon gave up.

Someone groaned, and Sasuke looked directly at Nyx. Her face was pale and a thin layer of sweat was on her forehead.

G-Gina… Gina looked up, and was immediately filled with mortification.

“…Damn.” She said. “Sasuke, Magao, Itachi, get out. Now.” The three boys, irritable nonetheless, left promptly.

“Kimmie, get some water. Alice, you can perform alchemy right? Do me a huge favor and make towels. Lots of towels. Emily, if you would please help me…”

Nyx groaned again, and whimpered, but kept her mouth closed. It took hours. Gina, with small assistance from Emily, moved as quickly as she could, and handled it well. Nyx kept her mouth closed at all times during her labor. God knows how she managed that, but she did.

It was actually two hours of pushing, whimpering, groaning, and other weird noises from behind the waterfall until Magao and Sasuke could reenter their hide out. When they did, they were indeed heavily surprised. Other than the baby boy’s eyes, which matched Magao’s almost perfectly (thus proving Magao was now a father, which pissed him off to all hell), the child looked almost exactly like Nyx. Small, slightly chubby with puppy fat, but absolutely adorable, with his small blood red eyes, and tired, sleeping face. He had been crying earlier, but after Gina had fully finished with him, and given him back to Nyx, he had stopped screaming. Currently, the Fallen Angel was just holding him, and staring at him. Sasuke was amazed- her hood was down. In fact, she wasn’t wearing her cloak at all, which revealed that her entire body was completely covered in bandages. The only article of real, actual clothing she was wearing was a simple pair of black
