Elemental Fallen Angels(Chapter One, Parts 1-4)
Requiem for Redemption
Chapter One:
Where Will You Go?
How can blood be my salvation?
And justify the pain that I have caused throughout the times
Will I learn what’s truly sacred?
Will I redeem my soul?
Will truth set me free?
Part One
Devil’s Never Die
Kimmie panted as she staggered down the sidewalk, holding her side as it bled liberally. She had been looking for Gina, a very imperative piece to the world, for a long while, and when she happened to ask just the wrong person if they knew her, she was attacked. Leaving her to die in a dark alley, the three people who had ganged up on her had left, one of them laughing maniacally.
Trying hard to favor her good side, while ignoring the swelling pain in both shoulders, and her right side, where she had been pierced, Kimmie slid along the stone wall.
It felt as if she’d been walking for years. As tired as she was, five minutes felt like five hours. Five hours of agony and gut wrenching pain, enough to make even a full grown elephant stagger and die. However Kimmie was different from the average person. She wasn’t even human, so such paltry wounds weren’t going to bring her down.
Suddenly, the wall seemingly gave in, and she flew down a dark flight of stairs, before smashing into a counter. Everything around her went black, and Kimmie died, her heart beating a final time in shock, before halting completely, in a heart attack.
Her hair faded to snow white, and her skin became paler than a dead person’s. When Greed and Kimbly walked over to help her up, and finding how cold she was, they thought she was a living dead. However, they were much mistaken. Haru’s eyes fluttered open, and how inert they made her look. The faded, red color gave her the impression of someone who had come back from Hell.
“My ankle is broken,” She said tonelessly, without even the slightest hint of emotion. “I can’t walk.” Greed stared at her for a long time. He looked at said ankle. It was indeed broken, but this girl didn’t seem to be in any pain. Also, he was certain that when he’d first seen her, her hair had been black. Not to mention the strange three wolf tails and animal ears planted upon her head. Kimbly and Greed stared at one another for a long time before nodding.
“By the way,” Haru began, “Is there a proverbial affiliation between you and a young, brown haired teenager with golden tanned skin and chaste honey brown eyes named Gina-ue?”
Greed started before asking, “Why do you need her?”
“It’s not an iota of your apprehension, Greed-san. I am merely entailed to see her.”
The homunculus almost choked on air. How did she know his name? They had never met, he was positive of that. Brushing the thought away to save for later, Greed picked her up and took her to the same guest room Gina was staying in. Since there were two beds, he had no trouble at all. Gina was asleep, so there where no problems in that area either.
Haru, after being set on the bed, promptly stripped off her clothing. By the time Greed was able to speak, she was down to her panties.
“Oi, Oi! You don’t need to take off everything!” His eye twitched. This girl really had no feeling of disdain, or humility, of anything at all. It was bizarre.
Haru agreed. She lay down on her back and allowed Greed to treat her wounds.
“What’s your name anyways?”
“Haru no Sanbi Inu Youkai. (Haru the Three Tails Wolf Demon). And you are Greed-san, a homunculus, and you,” She turned to look at Kimbly, “Are Kimbly-san, former State Alchemist, furthermore acknowledged as the Crimson Alchemist. You were situated in penitentiary for slaughtering your allies, and then freed subsequent to Fullmetal tearing Laboratory Five apart. You have stuck by Greed in observation of that piece of information.”
The two of them stared at her. They tried to ignore this sudden utilization of their backgrounds, names, and occupations, and went back to tending to her wounds.
Wait, Jinchurriki. You do not covet them to be acquainted with our clandestine, do you?
Okay, okay. I suppose you are right… This sucks.
Moreover, if I reside like this, then you will not have to tolerate the pain of it.
That too. Alright then. The conversation was cut off; And Kimmie fell back asleep in her blackened heart…
“You’re ridiculously thin, Haru.”
“I do not consume food.”
“Why?!” Kimbly exasperated. “Are you anorexic or something? Not eating is bad for you, ya’ know.
“I do not necessitate to.”
And that was the end of that conversation. As the discomfited silence fell, Greed began to sweat nervously. Since he was always in the bar, it was usually pretty loud.
After Greed had finally finished with Haru, she requested that they washed her clothes. And, if they possibly could, please fix them up, as she was sure they could, seeing Kimbly was an alchemist. All was fine, and the two men left.
Then, Haru allowed Kimmie to return to her body, and fall asleep peacefully.
The next day, Gina woke up, not pale anymore, and not dying either, from anaphylactic shock, induced because she was allergic to amoxicillin, and Greed hadn’t known that. She declared she was starving, without even noticing her roommate, so the pair fed her. When Gina returned to her room with Greed at her side, she saw Kimmie, the girl she’d fought with and almost been forced to kill during the Chuunin exams, a few years back. Gina almost didn’t recognize her, because of how much she had grown. Greed stated that her hair had been white the day before, and Gina understood this quite well, but cut off his question without much thought.
The moment Gina mentioned the Chuunin exams, Kimmie’s eyes opened and she growled in pain, clenching her teeth and wincing. The brunette looked at Kimmie in surprise and confusion.
Gina? GINA?! THAT’S HER!? Let me KILL her….NOW. I will make her PAY for what she did to me! I will murder that bitch! LET ME KILL HER JINCHURRIKI!!!
I am NOT going to let you kill Gina. The world is at stake, and if we lose her, then everything is going to be over! Have you forgotten!? If the world is destroyed, you’ll never get to face her again ANYWAY!
I DON’T CARE!!!
I DO!!!
That is as much as essential, Khrai. If you engage in combat with her whilst she is injured, you will not be able to obtain a good fight out of her.
…Point.
Thankfully, Haru was always there.
Gina looked the girl over circumspectly, “Are you okay…?”
“I’m fine.” Kimmie replied calmly and sat up, without a wince, or anything. She stared at Gina. She looked a little pale, and slightly pained. Kimmie’s eyes drifted down to her waist.
“You should lie down.” She stated softly. Gina sat down next to her.
“So…What happened?” Gina asked inquisitively, “I’m sure there’s some important reason for you be here, looking for me.”
“Yes. There is. I’m going assure that you do not die. It’s very important.” Gina stared and smiled.
“What do you mean…?”
“You can’t die. Absolutely not.”
“Why?”
“Never mind. Has anyone shown up looking for me yet? A teenager with black hair, to be specific.” Greed shook his head, and Kimmie let out a relieved sigh.
“By the way, your hair was-“
“Yeah, I should probably check my injury…hold up. Gotta make sure that there isn’t anything wrong with it, or that someone’s claws weren’t poisoned. Or something…” Kimmie interrupted him quickly, and pulled up her shirt somewhat so she could tear the bandages off. “Good. It’s gone.” There wasn’t even a scar.
“How did you-!”
Gina cut in this time, “Umm, right. Could you run down and help Kimbly make some food for our guest?”
Greed growled lowly in back of his throat. Clearly, he wasn’t going to get anything out of these two unless he eavesdropped.
“NOW can you explain?”
“I suppose.” Kimmie paused for a minute to take a breath, “Greed, do you want something? If not, please do go.” The door opened and Greed, blushing slightly, “How did you know I was there?”
“I could smell you.” The homunculus stared, and Kimmie slipping the food from his hands, and wolfed it down, and then handed him back the plate, “Gochisosamadeshita.”
Even as Greed watched, a bruise that was on Kimmie’s cheek was slowly fading away, as well as a couple cuts on her wrist.
“How can you heal so-“
“I might tell you and Kimbly when I’m positive I can trust you. And listening through the door isn’t a good way to earn my trust.”
Greed huffed and left the room. When Kimmie was sure he was gone, she continued, “The reason I’m here is because the entire planet now rests on your shoulders. Emi and Ali are probably looking for Sasuke as we speak, to protect him as well. Either that or they’re on their way towards here to make sure I’m alright.” Gina looked away as tears rapidly filled her eyes.
“Sasuke …”
“They won’t hurt him, and they won’t let him die either. If anything, they’ll direct him towards us… if they can find us.
“Huh?”
“I have to hide my power, and you do too. The only way they can track me is through scent and hearing.”
“Wait, why do you have to hide your power, too?”
“My aniki is hunting me.” Kimmie stated coolly. “And Apoc- erm…Deviji is hunting you, as well as the homunculi, and a couple other people, too.
“By the way, why is the world resting on my shoulders? Again?”
“I don’t really understand, but the Pone glyph said something that means we have to protect you. Emily would be able to tell you better. She actually knows,” Kimmie explained carefully. Gina nodded in understanding.
“Put simply, you are going to be a part of my team, when they get here.”
“Can’t you just contact them?”
“Magao will hear it.”
“Damn it.”
“Pretty much.”
“Wait a second,” Gina burst out, “How could he possibly hear you!?”
“I don’t really know how myself, but Magao and I have a soul deep connection, so anything telepathic I transmit to somebody, he’ll hear it too, and there’ll be a door to my mind open, for just a second. But somehow, that’s all he needs to locate precisely where I am.
Oh, is that Gina? Awesome! Tell her I say hi, and have a wonderful life.
Sure, why not?
“Hiaria says hi, by the way.”
“Oh. She’s the second, right? Hi there!”
Kimmie gently smiled, if it could be called that.
“I can’t sense her.”
“Good girl, she knows what she’s doing.”
“Yeah, we’re nearly there… I think.”
“I ho- ALI LOOK OUT!” Emily screamed at her younger cousin, right before she blacked out.
Part Two
Will of the Wind
Greed turned over to look at the girls as they walked down the stairs. He handed them their breakfast.
Kimmie looked him directly in the eyes for a moment before turning away and sitting down with Gina. She still didn’t wholly trust Greed and Kimbly. It would be a while before she changed her mind.
“How long do you plan to stay here?”
“I don’t know…” Gina said quietly, “This place has become like my home. It’s like Greed and Kimbly are my brothers.”
Kimmie stared at her quietly for a moment, “after the first attack, we’ll have- NO!” Kimmie stood up very suddenly with a shriek. Gina started. Kimmie held her hands up to her chest in a prayer like stance. A black aura enclosed her. “KAI!” In a cloud of smoke, Haru was back, right by Kimmie’s side.
“You’re..!” Kimbly and Greed said in unison.
“I’ll clarify it, Haru. Go help them, please!!” Haru nodded slowly. Before running out of the bar as fast as possible.
Kimmie sat down, and put her head in her hands. “I hope she’ll be enough slow him down, at least.” She stood back up again suddenly, slamming her fists on the table and crying out, “GOD DAMN HIM! Why is he attacking Ali and Emi!? They have nothing to do with our little issue! DAMNIT!”
You could always let me take care of him, Fire. I could take care of him easily…
She growled, and her red eyes seemed to glow with hatred unlike any other. She spun around and looked directly at Kimbly, who winced, “Where did you put the rest of my stuff?” Kimbly pointed to a cabinet on his left. Kimmie went and grabbed the bag before storming up the stairs into her room.
Kimmie nearly shredded the bag in her haste to get it open. Her face was pale, and her body was coated in a cold sweat. She pulled out a black, leather-bound book and a paint brush and a scalpel. Kimmie slit her arm open and used the paintbrush, whish she dipped in her blood, to paint an eccentric seal on the back of her hand. “I’m not very good with the Ice Elemental… but let’s see if I can get this right. I should, if me and Emily have a strong enough connection that is…” The door was locked, and Kimmie could hear Gina and Greed, and Kimbly pounding on it. She had to hurry. Kimmie fell to her knees on the floor in the middle of the room. She preformed a series of hand motions, whilst chanting in German.
“<German>Mistress of darkness, among the shadows, forever screaming, forever afraid, who speaks in third person, so she can forget that she’s me. Just when she thinks she can trust me, just when she needs me the most, I will let her down.</German>” She said, closing her eyes, and performing the last of the hand seal, “<German> I’m sorry that I’m not worth the blood you have given me. Mistress of darkness, among the shadows, living among us all, please give me strength to fight this feeling, this feeling of emptiness, save me from myself, my friends, my lovers, everyone. Free me from this pain, I beg of you, I love you. Save me from the ones who think they know me, </German>” Kimmie winced as her hand started to burn. She finished with, “<German> I want the strength to help myself, and I don’t want to be alone any longer. I want to help you; I want to be with you, my Mistress of Darkness. Mother of Hate, you are the only one who understood me, give me the strength to fight for you.</German>”
A white light erupted from around Kimmie, she didn’t move, and allowed it to envelope her. Her blood red wings were forced out of her back. She hissed in pain.
The door burst open, and the three people who’d been pounding on the door stood there, watching in amazement as Kimmie began to glow a strange, reddish purple color.
Suddenly, the light turned to purple, dark purple at that. It looked similar to a failed human transmutation. It wrapped around Kimmie’s body, forcing her hair to grow out, and making her change to exactly who she didn’t want to be. Khrai. Her eyes turned to an ice cold evil blue, her cat features faded to black, and her wings dissolved, making Khrai scream out in pain. It looked as if they were breaking apart, or burning. Khrai cried out in pain as one of the strips of dark violet light grasped her tail, and pulled, yanking out her entire spinal cord. Khrai collapsed, and the light continued to pull and tear away at her inhuman features, included her ears and eyes. It reached into her mouth, and ripped out her complete chakra circuitry.
In the background, and unfamiliar voice rang out gently;
“<German> I will give you strength to murder everyone, but you shall have to use it kill this demon you have.</German>” It promised, “<German>I will exorcise your soul, darling Fallen Angel of Fire.</German> ”
Greed and Kimbly stared in fascination, but the only thing Gina could do was stare in utmost horror. She wanted to rush in and help her… In fact, she did. However, the black wisps grabbed her gently, and placed her back by Greed and Kimbly. It went back to tearing Khrai apart. It ripped off her left arm, and both legs, and tore at her flesh. Khrai screamed and screamed in pain. When it was finally over, Khrai lay there, her eye sockets wide, empty, and staring. Even Greed and Kimbly were formally mortified by now. Khrai was dead. A bright light enveloped the dead body, and turned into a whole body, which ended up as Kimmie again. She sat up, and gasped and heaved. She looked up at Gina, Greed, and Kimbly. For a moment, there was no emotion on her face. Then, realized just what this meant.
They knew.
Kimmie swallowed, her throat tight. “…I’m going to um… Go out and get something to eat.” Her head down, she hurried out of the room, tears slowly making their way down her face.
If you explained, it’d almost certainly be fine. Seriously.
Be quiet, Hiaria.
Hey, I’m trying to help here, Kimmie.
Please don’t, Hiaria. It hurts…
Okay then. Just don’t forget what I said.
I won’t…
Haru and Kimmie met up at around eleven o’clock that night, and didn’t return to the Devil’s Nest until around one o’clock.
Kimbly was still up, drinking coffee when she walked in.
“There you are. Gosh, now I can go to bed at ease. Gina’s probably still up waiting for you.” Kimmie nodded and went up to her room. Gina was asleep, but she seemed to be restless. There were tears in her eyes, and she was flailing in her sleep.
Kimmie looked at her sadly. Oh how she felt for Gina, who had been put through so much unnecessary pain. The dark haired child walked over her roommate and crouched down beside her bed, and started to softly sing…
“The voices in the wind…
Will take you home again.
The journey home again has just begun, my friend.
“The magic in your eyes…
Was more than I surmised,
And I surrender time, and time again…
“To the will of the wind.
The will of the wind, child.
The will in the wind chimes,
Takes you home again,
“The will of the wind.
The will of the wind, child.
The will in the wind chimes…
Takes you home again…
“The will of the wind.”
Gina relaxed visibly, and was soon sound asleep, with a peaceful smile on her face. Kimmie’s eyes soon closed, and she fell sound asleep, her head resting on Gina mattress, their hands gripping tightly.
Part Three
Nightmare
Kimmie …Kimmie? Kimmie …!
OI! KIMMIE! GET UP YOU LAZY FUCK!!!
Emi! Don’t shout at her like that! God!
Kimmie’s eyes slowly opened, and she found herself staring into the bright purple eyes of her cousin, Emily.
See, I told you it’d wake her up!
Shut up!
What’s going on?
Oh, yeah. Emily smiled, we made it over here. Isn’t that awesome!? Ehehe!
Emily started to laugh a little. Kimmie looked at
Oh,
What are you doing in my head? I’m asleep. Kimmie asked, obviously confused.
Well…ahaha.
Emily explained to her, we’re telepathic, remember? Laugh out loud!
Kimmie smiled softly, I guess I should wake up now, huh?
Yeah, you lazy jerk! WAKE UP, DAMNIT!
Kimmie’s eyes slowly opened, and she found herself staring directly into the bright purple eyes of her cousin, Emily.
“Hi there, you two.”
Kimmie sat up slowly and looked at the two of them. Emily had a large gash over her waist, and
“You’re bleeding all over the floor.”
“Oi…!”
“Don’t worry Greed, these are my siblings.” As they spoke, the duo’s injuries were healing.
Greed gave up and left. Gina was also awake.
“So, what happened? I’m pretty sure Magao didn’t do this. Those look fresh.
“Yeah, actually it was Magao. He came after us… again.”
“Yeah, I had to fight him, too, after he chased me away.”
“Are you okay?” Emily asked, clearly concerned.
“Nah, he just stabbed me a couple times. Other than that, I was perfectly fine. I also died, and turned into Haru. It sucked.” Emily cooed over Kimmie. Meanwhile,
“You must be Gina. Pleasure to meet you”
Kimmie smirked, “I have no idea. I suppose we’ll leave when Magao or the homunculi find out where we are.”
Kimmie smiled. Things were going wonderfully quite so far….
There was an explosion, a scream, and the smell of blood. Familiar scents… so many of them, they were driving her insane, she couldn’t breathe! Kimmie choked on water, trying not to inhale, but she couldn’t stop herself. Her wings shot out of her back on their own accord, and tried to get her out, but they burned and broke, and turned to ash. She couldn’t fly! The water vanished, but she still couldn’t breathe. Magao was standing in front of her, a wild grin on his face. Everyone was dead. Mom, dad, Emily, Gina, Alice, Greed, Kimbly…Everyone was dead! There was no one to help her! What would she do? Kimmie tried to move forward, tried to attack Magao, but she went right through him. She panicked. Magao turned around and pinned her to the ground. She tried to kick him, but her leg went right through again! Why couldn’t she touch him!? Why!? Kimmie’s eyes filled with tears of fear and regret. If only she hadn’t promised him…
Then, Magao was gone. She wasn’t underwater either. Kimmie looked around. It was the field where she’d promised Magao for the first time… She looked around wildly. She saw herself.
“Will you be mine, forever, imouto?” an eleven year old Magao asked sweetly. His ‘imouto’, Kimmie herself, was only three at the time. She didn’t know any better, let alone what he meant.
“Okay!” Kimmie cried out happily. Magao blushed and kissed her on the forehead. The little girl giggled joyously.
Kimmie’s eyes widened. She became angry. She was so mad! She flew right at Magao, Screaming, “STOP IT, YOU BASTARD!” Magao turned towards her, frightened. Kimmie slapped him as hard as her body would allow. She would’ve killed him, but she couldn’t bring herself to kill someone that young. Magao flew backwards, and Kimmie’s three-year-old self screamed in terror.
Suddenly, the scene changed, yet again. The village was on fire. In the middle, Kimmie, at five years old, sat there, crying pathetically, while a psychotic Magao stood over her, with bloody hands. He had told her he hadn’t done it, Kimmie remembered. She watched as he hugged her gently, “you’re mine forever, right? You still love me, right?”
It was her fault! She had hugged another kid, and Magao had seen her! He’d over reacted, of course, and killed… everyone in the village… except her, and Alice, her twin sister, and Emily, her older cousin.
“Kimmie…”
Kimmie looked up with tear filled eyes. Why was she even thinking about this? Why wouldn’t life just leave her the hell alone?
“Kimmie…?”
Why can’t I just be like every other thirteen year old in the world…? Why…? WHY WON’T HE LEAVE ME ALONE!?
“KIMMIE!!!”
Kimmie’s eye flew open and she sat up abruptly from her soaked pillow, almost smashing her head into Gina’s. Kimbly and Greed were there too. There was a wet washcloth on her forehead which had, by now, fallen to her lap. She was cold, and coated in sweat, not to mention pale as a dead person, tears streamed down her face like
“Are you okay?
Kimmie blinked her tears away before snapping, “I’m fine!” She got up and marched to the bathroom, where she washed her face angrily, soaking away the salty tears that had dried to her face. She was so mad. Had she really been flailing in her sleep, as Gina had been the night before? Crying, while calling out a name that only she knew? She was so embarrassed she could die. That was not important though.
Why had she dreamt of Magao? Was he getting close? She usually only had dreams like this if Magao knew where she was, and was going to attack in about two to three weeks, if not sooner. She needed to get Gina out of there soon. Before it was too late…
Kimmie would never have admitted it, but she was scared. So many people, friends, relatives, just people had been killed just because she had been acquainted with them. Either she had to leave ASAP, or she would have to warn Gina, Kimbly, and Greed ahead of time about just how dangerous Magao was. But she couldn’t tell them who Magao was… there was no way in hell she could possibly bring herself to tell them about her psychotic, mentally deranged older brother who was madly in love with her. Not a chance. Kimmie wiped away the fresh tears springing to her eyes as an image of Magao tying to ravage her replayed itself in her mind’s eye. She shook her head. Why was she crying? So her brother was completely insane, trying to take her for his own, and stalked her day and night without rest? Nothing to cry about! Gina had been through much worse, and Kimmie knew it. But Gina did NOT go to the bathroom and cry like a sissy. Gina was much stronger. She probably wouldn’t last half a day under Envy’s care. Kimmie thought of
Maybe we can be friends if I just think of her as a sister…
Kimmie smiled at the thought, sniffling slightly. She missed her sister and cousin a lot. But she was going to have to keep it together! Again, Gina and Alice had been through a lot more than she could even begin to comprehend.
But it hurt, because she really did care for her brother. He had always protected her. He had saved her life more than once, recently, and when she was still little. She loved him, but she wasn’t in love with him. Why couldn’t he understand that? She didn’t like having to fight him, or chase him away like he was a stray animal that was getting into the trash. She was about to start crying again. Furiously, Kimmie slapped herself across the face. Stop crying, you pathetic little brat! She thought irritably. With that, she turned around, and went right back to her room.
“What happened…?” Gina asked as soon as Kimmie returned to the room.
“It was a nightmare. It doesn’t matter.”
“You kept repeating some guys name… someone named Magao?” Kimmie stiffened visibly. Greed raised an eyebrow.
“It doesn’t matter. Leave my past and present out of your thoughts.” Gina watched Kimmie walk off to the bar. Gina watched her swaying down the hall. She was, indeed, worried about her little friend… rival? Gina didn’t know what to think of Kimmie as. Their relationship was wobbly, and extremely awkward, seeing the first thing they had done when they’d first met was fight. What kind of person was a friend, but at also an eternal rival…? Who could care for someone a lot, but still be angry at them the same time… Naruto had referred to Sasuke as…
Gina lit up. She knew! Kimmie and she were like sisters. They fought a lot, didn’t really get along, and still somehow were friends! So they were sisters… right?
She didn’t know. Gina had been the only girl other than her mom in her family. She didn’t know how sisters usually got along. But people usually said that they fought a lot and barely got along at all, but still loved each other. Was that right?
It didn’t matter all that much anyway. They weren’t rivals, which would be her and Hiaria. They weren’t mutual, because Gina felt that connection with Haru only. And they definitely weren’t sworn enemies, like she was with Khrai and Valdis. Kimmie seemed thoroughly concerned about Gina’s safety, but didn’t give a damn about what their relationship was. So Gina allowed it to slip her mind. It didn’t matter, really. She shrugged and walked downstairs, feeling a headache coming on. She really should stay in bed, but she didn’t care.
Kimmie looked up through the slightly crowded bar towards Gina, who was sitting alone at a table, with her head in her hands, staring straight ahead at nothing.
Someone sat down in front of her. Gina’s eyes shifted upwards just slightly. That headache was killing her brain cells by the thousand. The man poured her a drink. She stared at him like he was the dumbest person ever known to walk the Earth. She looked at the drink. She could smell a drug he had put in it.
“I feel like I’ve been through this before.” She slammed her hands down on the table and stood up. Her head throbbed profusely. She groaned slightly under her breath. “Listen, you foul little worm. I’m way too goddamned young for you to even be looking at me. I am not a stupid idiot little girl who’d just take an obviously drugged drink from a complete stranger wearing pathetic rags and overweight by at least a hundred pounds. If you want to get laid, then go find a street corner whore. I have a lot more pride than that. Get away from me before I castrate you!” She snarled menacingly at him. The man was both surprised and angry.
“Shut up, you brat! What makes you think it’s drugged? I have a lot more pride as a MAN than that!”
“I can smell it, you disgusting person.”
Now, she was just pissing him off for fun. Her head throbbing unceasingly, right behind her left eye, all the way back to the back of her head.
Greed and Kimbly watched her, both serious and amused. She was good at fending people off, as well as pissing them off.
The man stood up, throwing the entire table over as he did so. Gina glared daggers at him. He raised a single fist, and she punched him square in the gut, causing him to pass out altogether. She then dragged him to the door and threw him in the street.
“AND STAY OUT, MAGGOT!”
When she returned to the bar, many people where staring at her in awe. She didn’t care. Gina stormed to her room, where she found someone unexpected.
“That was quite a good move you pulled there, Angel.” He said calmly. The teenaged boy was sitting on her bed, staring out the window emotionlessly. Gina sighed, “I get that a lot. Now get out of my room. I want to go to bed.”
“How is my imouto?”
“I don’t know. Ask her.”
The boy turned around slowly and looked at her. “How is Kimmie? Is she well?” Gina sighed and nodded.
“Good. Take good care of her while I’m away, okay? I do care deeply for my little imouto. If something happens to her…
“I will hold you responsible and you will pay most dearly. I will make it my top priority to give you back to your ‘master’. I’m sure he misses his lovely ‘pet’ greatly.” The boy grinned, revealing a set of animal like teeth. Gina shuddered… How did he know about Envy? Who was he anyways? Gina swallowed hard and pretended to remain unaffected. However, the boy had already seen her react.
“I’m Magao by the way. Tell my dearest imouto I said hi.” With that he walked out of the room, right past her.
And Gina felt the most horrible, evil power she had ever experienced. It was mortifying. She paled visibly, and turned to look after him. THAT was Kimmie’s older brother!? No wonder she was such a dark child. But, Gina sensed that there was something much deeper than that. She was going to have to do something she had hoped she would be able to just stop doing…
Gina was going to have to start meddling again.
Gina sighed to herself as she climbed into bed. Well, I guess it was inevitable. I’ll tell Kimmie about Magao tomorrow. Maybe I’ll be able to figure something out…
Part Four
In the Shadows
Kimmie’s eyes fluttered opened and she sat up, stretching, and yawning widely. Gina was already awake, she saw.
She splashed her face with cool water to awaken herself, and took a shower. She sat under the torrent of water, thinking hard. The other night, she had smelled Magao as clear as day. But he hadn’t approached her. Why not? What were his intentions this time? Kimmie sat there, not even noticing when the water suddenly turned cold as ice. She sat under the cold water for at least five minutes before she turned the water off. Kimmie dried herself slowly. Magao knew everything about her… everything.
So why wasn’t he trying to take advantage of this knowledge, like he used to? Was he going after Alice and Emily? Had he just not felt like it? Was he under orders…? Kimmie shook her aching head. Stop thinking, me. It’s not helping. Just… Just relax, and forget about it. He’s gone now, so I don’t have to worry… for now.
There were times, when Kimmie just wanted to keel over and die.
It was getting slightly late. Gina still hadn’t told Kimmie about the run-in with Magao the other night. She was going to, but every time she tried, something happened to prevent it. It was as if the world was against her or something.
And yet, at that moment, the two of them were sitting across from each other, playing ‘never have I ever’ with Greed and Kimbly.
Gina thought for a moment, “Never have I ever… umm….Had my family murdered.” She had long since decided that the game would help her gain information on Kimmie. Kimbly drank, Gina drank, and Kimmie drank.
“Really, Kimbly?” Greed said, looking somewhat surprised.
Kimbly replied, “Happened during the war.”
“Oooh.” Gina turned towards Kimmie. In unison, they both said “What about you?”
Gina swallowed hard and choked, “Envy killed my family…” she muttered, looking away.
Kimmie smiled, “that’s not so bad.” She mentally slapped herself. What was SHE talking about!? Just because her brother was psycho didn’t mean she had to be stuck up about it!
Gina looked up angrily, “Oh yeah!? Well what about you then? What happened to YOUR family!?”
“My aniki killed them all.” Gina stopped.
“I was five years old.”
“W-why though?”
“I hugged another boy. It was entirely my fault…. And he’s used that to hang high over my head ever since. What’s worse is that I can’t bring myself to hate him for it… I… I can’t kill him.”
Gina stared in both awe and shock. She hadn’t expected something that bad to happen to Kimmie.
Kimbly cleared his throat loudly, “It’s your turn, Greed.”
“Never have I ever been revived from the dead.”
“THAT’S SO LAME.”
“Shut up!
Kimmie drank. Everyone stared at her like she was insane.
Greed asked, “You a homunculus?”
“No.”
“The-“
There was a loud bang, and Alice, Kimmie’s twin sister, stood in the doorway, looking stricken. Her clothes drenched, with splotches of blood all across them, were dripping onto the floor, but she seemed to not notice.
“Please, Emi’s the forest, and I think she’s in dire need of help!!! Please hurry!” Kimmie could feel
“Take care of Ali-chan for me, please, Greed. Gina, I think you should come with me. It might be Magao. And I can’t handle him alone.”
And the two of them were gone faster than the second hand of a clock.
They arrived in mere seconds, only to find Emily completely beaten, and down for the count. Someone was standing over her with a knife and a nasty smirk.
“Get AWAY FROM HER!” Kimmie screamed, throwing herself at the girl with more force than imaginable.
Kimmie started beating her, over and over her fists connected with her face, until they were splattered with blood. But she didn’t stop, no, she just continued, on and on. Her eyes glowed bright red, a flame Gina couldn’t place seemed to glow from within them. Gina’s heart stopped.
Kimmie was going to kill that girl…
“Kimmie, that’s enough!” Gina heard, turning her head.
A block of ice came up and worked its way up Kimmie’s back, holding her arms and legs in frozen chill. Gina whirled around and saw Emily, struggling just to sit there, with her hand touching the spot on the ground where the ice started. Kimmie broke free.
“Why did you…!”
Emily growled and Kimmie shut her mouth, “You were going to kill her. She was possessed, Kimmie! She was only HUMAN! Can you imagine what Ali would’ve DONE to you!?” Kimmie pursed her lips.
“Shut up, Emily…” Kimmie picked her up, leaving the injured girl for Gina to heal.
Gina quickly caught up. “So, that’s your cousin, Emily?”
“Yeah.”
Gina listened to her thoughts, TELL HER NOW, GOD DANG YOU! NOW!
“I’ve got something to tell you, Kimmie. It’s really important…” Gina said hesitantly. Kimmie stopped and stared at Gina seriously, “What?”
Gina braced herself, “The other night, your brother, Magao, was in our room. He told me to say hi to you for him, and to watch over you. He said if I didn’t, I’d be… umm… what is the word for it… Screwed? Yeah, that’s it.” Kimmie’s eyes widened in horror.
“He knows where we are?!” She swayed for a moment, before regaining her footing. “Let’s… let’s just go back.”
Kimmie didn’t talk to Gina for the entire rest of the night, leaving the half-Saiyan to worry herself half to death. Gina didn’t know what it was, but something wasn’t right, and it was making her nervous.
“So, tell me, is the plan working as I want it to?” A figure in the dark asked.
“Yes, you’re Excellency.” A female answered him. Her cat like green eyes glowed in the dark. She grinned, pearl like teeth shining.
“I will assure you that nothing goes wrong. The boy has indeed, gone off in the opposite direction. Our meddling has served well.”
“Good. And do not fail me, Deviji. You know I do not like to be disappointed.”
“Yes, you’re Excellency. I know.” Deviji turned around gracefully, her long hair swaying darkly in the black abyss of Hell. The fire around them swaying and dancing fitfully.
The demon in the darkness grinned, watching them twist and turn and dance.
“It reminds me of a certain little Angel when she sleeps….” He looked into a large black stone and stared at none other than Gina.
“She must be killed.”
