Stereotypes and My Future

April 28, 2009 on 11:22 am | In Stuff | 2 Comments

Dad wants me and Gina to be housewives, and he wants his boys to be lumberjacks and MANLY MEN. It disgusts me completely; the idea of not being able to do what a guy does. It’s completely sexist.

I’m going to break this stereotype if its the last thing I do. I will not let my husband treat his sons like crap and force them to be powerful and ‘cool. I will not let him stop my daughters from doing what they really want to do. I’m not stupid, and I know that my children won’t be. There is no reason for girls to not be allowed to do these kinds of things. Its like softball and baseball. Girls can’t play baseball because its a ‘guy sport’. Its complete bullshit. They say that America is free of sexism and racism, but its not. Its not free or sexism and racism and its not free of chauvinists. Its completely full of them, and its ridiculous. I hate America; we’re all pigs.

If my husband tries to make my boys or girls do or be something that they aren’t, I will personally kick the fuck out of him. I will not sleep with him,  and I will not have sex with him, and I will refuse to talk to him until he walks up to me says to my face ‘I’m sorry, and I will never do it again.’ and if he does do it again, then we’ll just start this process all over. I’m not afraid to ruin a marriage. I don’t need a man. I’m not dependent on people, and I hope I never have to be.

If my boys want to be fucking ballerinas, and my girls want to be dykes who play football… THEN I’M GONNA LET THEM! I don’t care! This world isn’t made up of guys and girls so that one can cook and clean and the other can work. We aren’t that different. Girls are made attractively so that they can attract males and mate and make babies. That does NOT mean that we are weak. It means that we are pretty. There is absolutely no relation between the two. I don’t care if all you male chauvinist pigs out there disagree with me. I don’t need a boyfriend to kick the shit out of you. I have my sister to do that for me.
